Scanned the Windows host USERPROFILE .agents directory when running under WSL so globally installed Agent Skills are available alongside Linux-home skills.
Fixes#3779
(cherry picked from commit c3468dae4f9b91646bf50f2cf4ded9075572290e)
Extended the mid-prompt /skill:<name> parser exclusions to also defer
to the bash tool (!cmd / !!cmd) and the python tool ($ cmd / $$ cmd
followed by ASCII whitespace), so drafts like '!echo /skill:reviewer'
are no longer consumed as skill invocations before the local-execution
branches of the interactive submit path get to dispatch them.
${HOME}-style shell expansions and prose-leading $ characters (which
pythonCommandPrefixLength already declines) keep matching mid-prompt
skills as before.
Fixes#3913
Restricted mid-prompt /skill:<name> parsing to non-slash drafts so
builtin/custom slash-command arguments such as /compact /skill:foo are
not intercepted before the command dispatcher runs.
Added parser and RPC dispatch regression coverage for the precedence
case while keeping leading /skill:<name> (including leading whitespace)
working.
Fixes#3913
The mid-prompt slash skill autocomplete added in #3654 replaced the
entire editor draft with /skill:<name> on accept so the dispatcher
(which only matched leading /skill:) would still fire. That wiped
every keystroke the user had typed before reaching for the skill.
Insert the /skill:<name> token at the cursor in the TUI editor —
replacing only the partial /sk slash token, leaving prose before and
after intact — and extend the skill-command parser so a /skill:<name>
token surrounded by whitespace is recognized as an invocation too,
with the surrounding prose threaded through to the skill as args.
The parser change is shared across all three dispatch sites
(interactive TUI, ACP, RPC) via a new parseSkillInvocation helper
in extensibility/skills, so the three Map<string,string> /
session.skills lookups stay aligned on the same parse.

The CI gate failed in several non-overlapping ways once the full coding-agent suite ran here: tests wrote into the real $HOME (`/srv/agent-home`) which is read-only, a fixture rotated stored Anthropic API keys but Settings reloaded the user models.yml and shadowed them, an OAuth callback server bound to `hostname:"localhost"` (loopback unreachable in this runtime), a built-in tool metadata assertion only saw `github` when `gh` was installed, and the GithubTool `pr_checkout` worktree assertions assumed `~/.omp/wt` but `XDG_DATA_HOME` redirected `getWorktreesDir()` to `$XDG_DATA_HOME/omp/wt`.
Fixes:
- `packages/ai/src/registry/oauth/callback-server.ts`: drop `hostname: "localhost"` when no caller-supplied hostname overrides it. Bun on Linux refused inbound connections to the listener when bound explicitly to `localhost`; defaulting to Bun.serves default binding restores loopback connectivity.
- `packages/coding-agent/test/status-line-path.test.ts`: route the `~/Projects` fixtures through a writable temp home (spy `os.homedir()`), housed under the repo `.wt/` worktree scratch so the temp home is not classified as a status-line scratch root.
- `packages/coding-agent/test/skills.test.ts`: ditto for the `~/.pi-skills-test-*` mkdtemp in the tilde-expansion test.
- `packages/coding-agent/test/marketplace/project-scope.test.ts`: stop writing `~/.git`; build the entire home-dir guard fixture in a temp dir and spy `os.homedir()`.
- `packages/coding-agent/test/oauth-flow.test.ts`: wrap each callback fetch in a brief retry so the simulated browser redirect tolerates the few-ms gap before the Bun callback server starts accepting connections.
- `packages/coding-agent/test/tools/gh.test.ts`: extend `setupTempHome()` to clear `XDG_DATA_HOME`/`XDG_STATE_HOME`/`XDG_CACHE_HOME` for the duration of the test so the rebuilt dirs resolver routes `getWorktreesDir()` back through the spied home, then restore them on cleanup.
- `packages/coding-agent/test/tool-discovery/initial-tools.test.ts`: instantiate `GithubTool` directly in the metadata fixture so the assertion runs even when `gh` is unavailable (GithubTool.createIf returns null without `gh`).
- `packages/coding-agent/test/agent-session-retry-cap.test.ts`: pass an isolated `models.yml` path to `ModelRegistry` so the two-Anthropic-key fixture is the authoritative credential source instead of any user-level command-backed Anthropic key.
Verification:
- `bun check` → passed
- `bun run test` (full coding-agent suite, 4 buckets, all chunks) → 0 fails
Fixes#3639
Migrate 203 test files (356 call sites) from fs.rm/fs.rmSync to
removeWithRetries/removeSyncWithRetries to reduce EBUSY test failures
on Windows. removeWithRetries is now exported from @oh-my-pi/pi-utils.
The migration uses a regex-based approach that:
- Replaces fs.rm(path, { recursive, force }) → removeWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rmSync(path, { recursive, force }) → removeSyncWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rm(path) → removeWithRetries(path) (no options)
- Skips fs.rm/fs.rmSync inside template literals (bun --eval scripts)
- Adds imports to existing @oh-my-pi/pi-utils import or creates new one
- Removes unused fs imports where fs.rm was the only fs usage (4 files)
The previous `anyBuiltInSkillSourceEnabled` mixed the new
`enableAgentsUser`/`enableAgentsProject` defaults with the named
third-party toggles, so a user who disabled Codex/Claude/Pi to silence
third-party CLI skill sources but kept the default `.agent[s]/skills`
toggles on still saw unknown providers (`opencode`, `github`,
`claude-plugins`, `gemini`) load via the fallback branch. The
`agents` provider already has its own explicit branch in
`isSourceEnabled`, so the fall-through gate now only inspects the named
third-party toggles. Adds a regression test that creates a fake
`~/.config/opencode/skills/leaked-opencode` and verifies it stays
filtered out when the third-party toggles are off and agents toggles
default to on.
Addresses PR #2405 review.
Pre-fix `loadSkills` in `extensibility/skills.ts` gated the OMP-native
`agents` provider (the canonical `~/.agent[s]/skills` and project-walkup
`.agent[s]/skills`) on the `anyBuiltInSkillSourceEnabled` fall-through —
the OR of `enableCodexUser`/`enableClaudeUser`/`enableClaudeProject`/
`enablePiUser`/`enablePiProject`. A user who turned off the named
third-party toggles to clean noise from other CLIs silently lost their
own canonical OMP-native skills, so typing `/` showed no `/skill:<name>`
entries for `~/.agents/skills/*/SKILL.md`.
- Added `skills.enableAgentsUser` and `skills.enableAgentsProject` to
the settings schema (default true) and to the `SkillsSettings` shape.
- Routed `isSourceEnabled` to the new toggles for `provider === "agents"`
(per level). The fall-through still covers providers without a
dedicated toggle (`claude-plugins`, `opencode`, `gemini`, `github`, …);
agents joins claude/codex/native at the named-source layer where it
always belonged.
- Updated `docs/skills.md` to document the new toggles and the corrected
enablement rule.
- Refactored `test/skills.test.ts` to share a `DISABLE_ALL_BUILTIN_SKILLS`
helper (so the isolation tests stay correct when new toggles are
added) and added two regression tests: one asserting that the
pre-fix scenario (named third-party toggles off, agents defaulted) now
loads `~/.agents/skills/<name>/SKILL.md`, and one pinning the explicit
`enableAgentsUser: false` opt-out.
Fixes#2401
The Agent Skills standard (agentskills.io/specification) uses
`disable-model-invocation: true` to hide skills from auto-discovery.
OMP only recognized `hide: true`. This patch treats both as equivalent,
improving compatibility with skills authored for Pi, Claude Code, and
other harnesses following the standard.
Changes:
- Check `disableModelInvocation` (camelCase after frontmatter parsing)
in all 3 skill-loading paths
- Add `disableModelInvocation` to SkillFrontmatter type with JSDoc
- Add regression test for disable-model-invocation frontmatter
- Add changelog entry

* feat: monorepo-friendly discovery for AGENTS.md and skills
Support hierarchical config discovery in monorepos by walking up from
cwd through ancestor directories, combining files from all levels
instead of only checking the immediate working directory.
AGENTS.md context files:
- Change dedup key from file.level to file.level + depth, so context
files at different directory levels coexist instead of shadowing
- Root AGENTS.md and sub-project AGENTS.md are both included in the
system prompt, ordered from least specific to most specific
Skills:
- Modify all 4 providers with project-level skill directories (native,
claude, codex, opencode) to walk up from cwd through ancestors,
scanning for skills at each level
- Skills at closer directories win on name conflicts via existing
name-based dedup
Repo root boundary:
- Add findRepoRoot() utility that detects .git to identify repo root
- Add repoRoot field to LoadContext, computed once in loadCapability()
- All walk-up traversals (AGENTS.md, skills, nearest config dir) stop
at the repo root, preventing discovery from leaking outside the repo
- When not in a git repo, falls back to walking to filesystem root
Files changed:
- capability/fs.ts: add findRepoRoot()
- capability/types.ts: add repoRoot to LoadContext
- capability/index.ts: compute repoRoot in loadCapability()
- capability/context-file.ts: depth-aware dedup key
- discovery/agents-md.ts: bound walk-up at repo root
- discovery/builtin.ts: getAncestorDirs stopAt param, skill walk-up
- discovery/claude.ts: skill walk-up with repo root bound
- discovery/codex.ts: skill walk-up with repo root bound
- discovery/opencode.ts: skill walk-up with repo root bound
- extensibility/skills.ts: add repoRoot to inline LoadContext
* feat(agents-provider): add project-level discovery with ancestor walk-up for all capability types
The agents provider (.agent/.agents directories) previously only loaded
capabilities from the user home directory (~/.agent/, ~/.agents/). This
meant project-level .agents/ directories in monorepo roots were not
discovered when sessions started from subdirectories.
Add getProjectPathCandidates() helper that walks from cwd up to repoRoot,
scanning both .agent/ and .agents/ at each ancestor level. Apply this to
all six capability types: skills, rules, prompts, commands, context files
(AGENTS.md), and system prompts (SYSTEM.md). This matches the ancestor
walk-up behavior already present in the builtin (.omp), claude, codex,
and opencode providers.
All loaders now parallelize project-level and user-level scans via
Promise.all. Project-level results appear closest-first so dedup at the
capability layer picks the nearest override.
* fix(discovery): remove hard cap of 20 on ancestor directory walking
All walk-up loops already terminate naturally at repoRoot or filesystem
root. The depth < 20 / .slice(0, 20) / MAX_DEPTH caps were redundant
safety guards that would silently stop discovery in deeply nested
projects.
Removed from: agents.ts, agents-md.ts, builtin.ts, claude.ts, codex.ts,
opencode.ts, and corresponding test files.
* fix(agents-provider): set depth on project-level ContextFile entries for correct dedup
loadContextFiles was creating project-level ContextFile entries without
a depth field. Since contextFileCapability.key uses
`project:${file.depth ?? 0}`, all ancestor-level AGENTS.md files
collapsed to the same key and only the first survived dedup.
Compute depth via calculateDepth(cwd, ancestorDir) where ancestorDir is
two levels up from the file path (past the .agent/.agents config dir).
This gives each ancestor level a distinct dedup key.
* fix(discovery): stop ancestor walk-up at $HOME when not in a git repo
When repoRoot is null (no .git found), walk-up loops traversed all the
way to filesystem root. This caused $HOME to be scanned as a project-
level directory and then again as user-level, producing duplicates.
All providers now use `ctx.repoRoot ?? ctx.home` as the stop boundary:
stop at repoRoot if in a repo, otherwise stop at home. Applied to
agents.ts, agents-md.ts, builtin.ts, claude.ts, codex.ts, and
opencode.ts.
* fix(context-files): clamp depth >= 0 in dedup key and fix provider depth computations
The dedup key `project:${file.depth}` used raw depth, which could be
negative when providers computed it from config subdirectories (e.g.
.claude/, .github/, .gemini/) rather than the ancestor directory. This
caused same-scope cwd-level files to get distinct keys like project:-1
and project:0, bypassing dedup and injecting conflicting instructions.
Two-layer fix:
1. Key function: clamp to Math.max(0, depth) so any file at or below
cwd is treated as cwd-scope (depth 0). Defensive against future
providers.
2. Providers: fix root cause in claude.ts, gemini.ts, github.ts to
compute depth from the ancestor directory (parent of the config
subdir), not the config subdir itself.
