Added a canonical guide for the Agent Hub roster, transcript, steering, revive, kill, persisted-agent, and advisor workflows.
Linked the guide from task-agent, TUI, keybinding, collaboration, advisor, and website documentation.
Fixes#7880
- Introduce `@oh-my-pi/omptype` as a new ArkType-compatible schema validation package featuring a lazy JIT runtime, JSON Schema emission, and compatibility adapters.
- Replace `arktype` across workspace packages and test utilities with `@oh-my-pi/omptype`.
- Add benchmark suites, tests, and documentation for the new validation engine and adapters.
- Update workspace build, test runner, and release configurations to include the new package.
install_binary downloaded the release binary, chmod'd it, and printed
"✓ Installed omp" with exit 0 without ever running it. Bun's musl-target
binaries link libstdc++/libgcc dynamically, which stock Alpine/musl systems
lack, so the binary exits 127 with relocation errors while the installer
still claimed success.
Smoke-run `omp --version` after install; on failure print the captured
error, add the `apk add libstdc++ libgcc` remediation for musl targets,
and exit non-zero. Document the Alpine/musl runtime requirement in the
README install section.
Fixes#7545
- Rejected local model discovery at the configured deadline even when fetch ignored abort.
- Covered pending-transport behavior with deterministic fake timers.
Fixes#7482
/vibe (a full director/worker orchestration mode) had no user-facing
documentation, and /fresh appeared only as a matrix row in the
session-operations doc whose title already promised a "fresh" section.
Neither was mentioned in the README.
- Add docs/vibe-mode.md: enable/disable, fast/good worker tiers, the five
vibe_* control tools, and the director workflow.
- Add a "## Fresh" section to the session-operations doc describing the
provider-stream/session-state reset and its contrast with /new and /drop.
- Add a "Session controls" subsection to the README linking both docs.
Fixes#6440
Added a setup step that persists the selected available model as the default role. Documented custom models.yml providers and manual default-role configuration.
Fixes#5979
- Added the `xd://` virtual device protocol (`internal-urls/xd-protocol.ts`, `tools/xdev.ts`): tools declaring `loadMode: "discoverable"` are unmounted from the request tools array and driven via `read xd://` (list/docs+schema) and `write xd://<tool>` (execute), gated by the `tools.xdev` setting (default on) and inlined into the system prompt.
- Merged the `irc`, `job`, and `launch` tools into a single `hub` tool (`tools/hub/`, `async/job-manager.ts`): messaging keeps `send`/`inbox`/`list`, job control maps to `wait`/`cancel`/`jobs`, process supervision keeps `start`/`logs`/`stop`/`restart`/`describe` with `ps`, and the unified `wait` races background jobs against peer messages; SDK `IrcTool`/`JobTool`/`LaunchTool` are replaced by `HubTool`.
- Removed the hidden `resolve` tool in favor of the `xd://resolve`/`xd://reject`/`xd://propose` resolution devices, auto-including `write` whenever a deferrable tool or plan mode is present.
- Removed the BM25 tool-discovery system: the `search_tool_bm25` tool, the `tool-discovery` module, the `tools.discoveryMode`/`mcp.discoveryMode`/`mcp.discoveryDefaultServers`/`tools.essentialOverride` settings, per-tool MCP selection, and the `mcp_tool_selection` message type.
- Unified tool presentation on `ToolLoadMode` (`essential`|`discoverable`), replacing the custom-tool `xdev?: boolean` opt-out; custom, extension, MCP, RPC host, image-generation, and TTS tools now default to `discoverable`, and added a `satisfies` predicate to `SoftToolRequirement`.
- Removed the standalone `ssh` command tool and `ssh/ssh-executor` (the `ssh://` read/write/search protocol stays), and made `--tools` address hidden built-ins.
- Updated collab-web to render `xd://` dispatches and `hub` op families, dropped the `search_tool_bm25`/`ssh`/`report-finding` renderers, refreshed tool docs and prompts, and migrated the affected tests and changelogs.
- Implemented model-specific keys and provider wildcards for `retry.fallbackChains` with updated resolution logic.
- Added interactive fallback chain management in the model roles UI, including support for reordering and editing.
- Improved fallback chain specificity rules and added comprehensive validation with startup warnings.
- Fixed mouse interaction alignment and hover state coordinate mapping in the roles view.
- Added six new search providers (Bing, Yahoo, Ecosia, Startpage, Mojeek, and Public) to expand coverage and parallel search capabilities.
- Implemented a unified `browserFetch` utility with headless-browser fallback and randomized Chrome profiles to improve scrape reliability.
- Integrated automated bot-defense mechanisms including CAPTCHA detection, ALTCHA proof-of-work, and homepage-token flows.
- Fixed hanging search CLI commands by ensuring proper closure of AuthStorage connections.
- Export `directoryExists` in `utils` to safely validate working directories before traversal.
- Update `SessionManager` and startup logic to fallback to the launch directory if a session's recorded working directory no longer exists.
- Add regression tests to ensure sessions now correctly adopt the launch directory instead of crashing on missing paths.
- Added a GitHub Action workflow to manage user vouching through discussion comments.
- Created CONTRIBUTING.md to define the vouching policy and workflow for contributors.
- Updated README.md to include instructions on the required vouching process for pull requests.
Added a root setup script that installs workspaces and builds the native addon before running the source CLI.
Documented the fresh-clone setup and smoke-check flow in the README development section.
Fixes#2895
- Removed render_mermaid from tool discovery, task definitions, and registries.
- Removed renderMermaid setting and prompt/docs references tied to the deleted tool.
- Added maxWidth and theme color options to Mermaid ASCII resolution in markdown flow.
- Re-rendered Mermaid ASCII in both directions and clipped output to available width.

- Widened `generate_image` provider mention from Gemini-only to Gemini, GPT, or xAI Grok image models per the `ImageProvider` union in `src/tools/image-gen.ts`.
- Added optional `useless` flags to tool result types and payload builders.
- Added `pruneUseless` and `dropUeless` options to control uneventful result pruning.
- Changed compaction and shake passes to prune or ignore non-error useless tool results.
- Changed conversation serialization to omit useless toolCall/toolResult pairs from output.
- Added coverage for useless tagging, pruning, and serialization behavior.
- The `snapcompact-summary.md` prompt was removed from `packages/agent` to further centralize `snapcompact`-related concerns within the dedicated `@oh-my-pi/snapcompact` package.
- Introduced `isSnapcompactShape` for runtime validation of `SnapcompactShape` overrides, enhancing data integrity when loading configuration from dynamic sources.
- Updated README and native module comments to reflect the standalone `snapcompact` package structure.
- Added a new @oh-my-pi/snapcompact package and redirected compaction call sites to it.
- Added provider-aware snapcompact shape resolution for model-specific mixed-frame behavior.
- Added optional image detail support by extending ImageContent and passing hints through OpenAI providers.
- Added native snapcompact render options, including 5x8/8x8 font loading and palette/geometry controls.
- Added macOS CI signing and notarization steps when APPLE_* secrets are configured.
- Added strict darwin verification checks to reject ad-hoc signatures and run smoke tests.
- Added Homebrew formula publishing from release assets with SHA-256 checksums.
- Added helper scripts for signing secret upload, entitlements, and release workflows.
- Renamed `TodoWriteTool` to `TodoTool` and its source/prompt files.
- Updated tool registration, schema, renderers, and gating to `todo`.
- Adjusted cursor provider native tool names and tests to match.
- Renamed strike-animation constants and `todo-error-reminder` type.
- Added `omp completions ` command generating scripts from live command/flag metadata.
- Added hidden `omp __complete` helper for dynamic model and session candidates.
- Completions never drift from the CLI: flags, enums, and subcommands are derived from static descriptors.
Wafer (https://wafer.ai) exposes a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint
(`https://pass.wafer.ai/v1`) for two SKUs whose entitlement differs
server-side, so we model them as two parallel providers — mirroring the
firepass/fireworks split so a user with both subscriptions can switch
without re-pasting:
- `wafer-pass` — flat-rate. `/v1/models` is filtered to entries whose
`wafer.tier === "pass_included"`.
- `wafer-serverless` — pay-as-you-go superset of Pass.
Both issue `wfr_…` keys. `/login wafer-pass` and `/login wafer-serverless`
paste-and-validate via `/v1/models`. `WAFER_PASS_API_KEY` and
`WAFER_SERVERLESS_API_KEY` are wired through `getEnvApiKey`.
Bundled catalog:
- `wafer-pass`: GLM-5.1, Qwen3.5-397B-A17B.
- `wafer-serverless`: GLM-5.1, Qwen3.5-397B-A17B, Kimi-K2.6, Qwen3.6-35B-A3B.
Dynamic discovery via `/v1/models` overlays additional models at runtime
and folds the `wafer` envelope (tier, capabilities, cents/M pricing) into
the canonical `Model<"openai-completions">` shape. GLM-family entries
carry the zai-style thinking compat (`thinkingFormat: "zai"`,
`reasoningContentField: "reasoning_content"`) so reasoning tokens land in
the right field. Cents-per-million → dollars-per-million via /100.
Tests (`packages/ai/test/wafer.test.ts`, 5 cases): bundled catalog
contract for both providers and wire-id pass-through (case-sensitive,
no rewrite — `GLM-5.1` must round-trip verbatim or upstream 404s).
Optional `packages/ai/test/wafer.live.ts` exercises a real round-trip
against `pass.wafer.ai` when `WAFER_PASS_API_KEY` is set.
- Expanded hashline and chunk bigram tables to 647 entries and moved chunk checksums to a 40-item namespace.
- Changed hashline anchors from `LINE#ID`/`:` to concatenated `LINEID`\t forms across parsing and tool outputs.
- Removed line-number padding and routed diff/read/grep/renderer output through raw numbers, tabs, and `toDisplayLine` formatting.
- Renamed atom ops to `pre`/`post`, removed `ins`, and updated schemas, prompts, and tests for new insertion behavior.
- Fixed `G`/`gg` motions to distinguish "no count" (go to last/first line) from explicit count.
- Added parsing for literal `\x1b`/`\r` bytes and backslash escape sequences (`\r`, `\e`, `\n`, `\t`).
- Updated `#readCount` to return `hasCount` flag propagated through operator and motion resolution.
