- Add `deferThresholdCompactionToSpeculation` to absorb blocking threshold passes within a grace band.
- Start background speculation automatically when a jump skips the pre-threshold band.
- Stop deferring and resume blocking compaction once context growth reaches the grace cap or async options are disabled.
