roboomp 766ccbf24a fix(coding-agent): add createEditTool/createWriteTool to legacy pi shim
The legacy @oh-my-pi/pi-coding-agent shim exported the read/bash/grep/find/ls
tool factories but omitted the edit and write ones. pi extensions importing
createEditTool or createWriteTool (e.g. gentle-pi) failed Bun's static export
check during extension validation, blocking omp install.

Added createEditTool/createEditToolDefinition and createWriteTool/
createWriteToolDefinition, mirroring the upstream pi surface and the existing
sibling factories. The unsupported operations seam throws a descriptive error
like createGrepTool does.

Diogo Soares Rodriguesandcan1357 6eaf090ccc fix(cursor): repair pi_edit and close the scoped-grep approval bypass
Three defects the exec bridge shipped with, all found by review.

`pi_edit` never worked. The session removes `edit` from the tool
registry for Cursor so the model is steered to full-file `write`
(8ba0498eb), but that same registry is the bridge's tool source, so the
native frame — which the server sends regardless of the advertised
catalog — resolved nothing and answered `Tool "edit" not available`.
Retaining the instance is not enough either: `PiEditExecArgs` carries
`old_text`/`new_text` pairs, which only `replace` accepts, while the
default mode is `hashline` (`{ input: string }`). `EditTool` now takes
an optional mode, and the bridge resolves a pinned `replace` instance
through its fallback resolver.

A `pi_grep` frame carrying `context` or `limit` escaped the approval
gate. Honoring those needs a per-call tool, and the per-call instance
was built raw while every registry tool is wrapped — so exactly those
calls skipped `tools.approval.grep` and the exec-tier SSH check. Both
callsites now go through one `createBridgeGrepFactory`.

Advisors ignored the same two fields: only the primary session supplied
the factory. They now get it too, gated on the advisor actually holding
`grep` so the factory cannot grant a denied tool.

Also moves the pure Pi arg translation to `providers/cursor-pi-args`.
The legacy shim shares it and is compiled into the bundled virtual
registry, where `./providers/*` cannot match a nested specifier — it
fell through to `Bun.resolveSync`, unsatisfiable under bunfs (#3442) —
and the exec module would have dragged the protobuf graph along.

Verified against real files and the real module graph: `pi_edit` mutates
a temp file, the bundled probe executes the shim's shared module in a
subprocess, and the grep test drives the shared factory. Mutation-
checked: returning a raw tool from the factory, ignoring the pinned edit
mode, dropping the `getTool` fallback, or moving the helpers back to a
nested path each fails a test.

Diogo Soares Rodriguesandcan1357 ab7b457af0 fix(cursor): read pi_bash truncation from the shape BashTool emits
Two truncation records exist locally. `read`/`grep` set
`details.truncation` (`TruncationResult`), which carries an explicit
`truncated` boolean. `bash` sets `details.meta.truncation`
(`TruncationMeta`), which has no such flag — its presence is the signal.

`piTruncation` read only the first and required the boolean, so every
real Bash truncation was dropped: Cursor got clipped output with no
indication it was clipped. Both shapes now translate; `TruncationResult`
stays authoritative when present so an explicit `false` still suppresses.

Also drops the legacy pi shim's copies of the regex-literal escaper and
the path/glob join. Both were verbatim duplicates of the modern bridge's
helpers, which is the drift the shared translation exists to prevent.

Verified producer-to-consumer, not against a hand-built bag: the test
runs a real `BashTool`, asserts its output has no top-level `truncation`
and no `truncated` flag under `meta`, then feeds those exact details to
`piTruncation`. Typed against the producer's own `TruncationMeta`, so a
renamed field fails compilation rather than silently reverting the bug.
Mutation-checked: reverting to the top-level lookup, restoring the flag
requirement, or dropping the null guard each fails a test.

Gy-Hu e404102acc fix: forward parseArgs and CONFIG_DIR_NAME from the legacy pi shim
Legacy pi extensions import both from the `@earendil-works/pi-coding-agent`
package root, which omp aliases to legacy-pi-coding-agent-shim.ts. `parseArgs`
lives in ../cli/args and CONFIG_DIR_NAME in @oh-my-pi/pi-utils, and neither is
reachable through `export * from "../index"`, so Bun's static export check
rejects such extensions during validation.

Same class of barrel gap as issues #5968 and #6583.

roboomp 846cd36d92 fix(coding-agent): bridge isContextOverflow in legacy pi-ai shim
Upstream @earendil-works/pi-ai re-exported isContextOverflow from its
package root, but omp's @oh-my-pi/pi-ai barrel forwards only
./error/rate-limit, so the shim's `export * from "@oh-my-pi/pi-ai"` left
it off the surface. Plugins importing it (pi-blackhole) tripped Bun's
static named-export check during validation, both on disk and through the
omp-legacy-pi-bundled: virtual namespace.

Audited the upstream root surface rather than fix one symbol at a time:
of its runtime exports only isContextOverflow (now under
@oh-my-pi/pi-ai/error) and parseJsonWithRepair/parseStreamingJson/
repairJson (relocated to @oh-my-pi/pi-utils) still exist in omp. Bridge
exactly that set through the shim and pin it with a regression test that
exercises each helper's behavior.

roboomp d4956e6de2 fix(coding-agent): restore isRetryableAssistantError in legacy pi-ai shim
Historical @earendil-works/pi-ai exports isRetryableAssistantError from its
package root (utils/retry.ts), but OMP's legacy-pi-ai-shim re-exports
@oh-my-pi/pi-ai, whose root never carried the symbol. Plugins importing it
(e.g. @router-for-me/pi-cliproxyapi-provider >= 1.4.9) failed Bun's static
named-export validation, rolling back install.

Port the upstream transient-error classifier into the shim, preserving the
provider-error wording tables so legacy retry semantics match.

the delete command. Match the upstream bare-sequence contract and pin it in

Larry Gordon d683cf90e7 fix(extensions): resolve tool approval against the revised tool input
Follow-up to the earlier approval re-check, which missed the
prompt-to-prompt case: if the original and revised inputs both resolve
to `prompt`, a handler could swap in different prompt-gated args that ran
under approval granted for the original.

Emit the `tool_call` event before the approval gate instead of after, so
the gate resolves policy and shows the interactive prompt against the
input that actually executes. The user always approves what runs, and
deny/allow-to-prompt/prompt-to-prompt transitions are all covered by one
gate rather than special-cased. A `deny` on the original input still
short-circuits before the runner is touched, so an already-denied tool
never emits `tool_call`.

Tests: the approval prompt reflects the revised input, `tool_call` fires
before `tool_approval_requested`, plus the existing deny/computer/
multi-handler cases.

Larry Gordon 8916e7de9f fix(extensions): re-check approval on revised tool input and skip computer calls in hook wrapper
Addresses PR review feedback.

- Re-gate approval (P1): the extension wrapper's approval/safety gate resolved
against the original `params`, but execution ran with the overridden input, so
a handler could rewrite approved args into ones a deny/critical policy would
have blocked. After an override, re-resolve the policy on the revised input and
block a revision that newly resolves to `deny` (or, outside yolo, newly requires
a prompt) instead of running it unapproved.
- Computer skip in hook wrapper (P2): the hook wrapper applied the override to
`computer` tool calls, contradicting the documented contract; it now skips them
  like the extension wrapper does.

Docs: the shared-events contract note is now accurate for both wrappers and
documents the approval re-check. Tests: added the re-gate (blocks-deny,
allows-benign), multi-handler last-wins, and hook computer-skip cases.

Larry Gordon ed457a9d4f feat(extensions): let tool_call handlers revise tool input
A `tool_call` handler (extension or hook) could previously only block a
tool. It can now also return `input` to replace the arguments the tool
executes with, so a handler can normalize or rewrite a built-in's input
without reimplementing the tool.

The returned object is the raw execution input passed to the tool's
`execute` (the handler owns its correctness), not the normalized
`event.input` view, which may carry derived gate-only fields (e.g.
hashline `edit` `path`/`paths`) that are not real parameters. It is
ignored when `block` is set, and not applied to `computer` tool calls
whose event input is a synthetic actions view rather than the real
params. When multiple handlers set `input`, the last one wins.

Honored in both the extension and hook tool wrappers; documented in
docs/extensions.md, docs/hooks.md, and docs/skills/authoring-hooks.md.

roboomp 7f1da393df fix(coding-agent): re-export estimateTokens from legacy pi shim
Legacy pi's @earendil-works/pi-coding-agent re-exported estimateTokens
from its coding-agent package root. In omp it lives in
@oh-my-pi/pi-agent-core/compaction and the coding-agent barrel does not
forward it, so the shim's `export * from "../index"` left it off the
surface. A named import tripped Bun's static export check during plugin
validation (e.g. `omp plugin install pi-blackhole`).

Re-export estimateTokens from the shim and pin it with a regression test.

Anthony "Asterisk" Ambuehl 29625f08c2 feat(mcp): add mcp_notification extension event + multi-listener API
Convert MCPManager's dangling single-slot setOnNotification callback into
a multi-listener API and expose server-initiated MCP notifications as an
extension event so extensions can bridge push-capable MCP servers (e.g.
peer messaging, ticket nudges) into session behavior.

API changes:
- Removed: MCPManager.setOnNotification(handler) — single-slot, zero callers
- Added:   MCPManager.addNotificationListener(listener): () => void
Multi-listener with per-listener error isolation, returns unsub.
- Added: 'mcp_notification' extension event
           Payload: { server: string; method: string; params: unknown }

Wired in sdk.ts: one listener bridges to extensionRunner.emitMcpNotification,
captured under postmortem for teardown.

Tests: 3 new (multi-listener fanout, error isolation, unsubscribe),
fixture pattern matches neighboring mcp tests. bun check passes (biome +
tsgo).

Docs: extensions.md (new MCP notifications subsection with bridging
example), mcp-runtime-lifecycle.md (Server-initiated notifications
section), CHANGELOG.

legacy-pi-compat.ts. Its unconditional top-level

extensions ("Missing graph-owned CommonJS definition").
