- Converted existing local paths to Windows paths via `wslpath -w` before opening.
- Used `wslview` directly in WSL environments, bypassing `xdg-open`'s broken file-handler translation.
- Fell back to `xdg-open` for URLs or when `wslview` is unavailable.
- Added unit tests covering WSL file, URL, and fallback scenarios.
- Extract CCH_PLACEHOLDER_STR so createClaudeBillingHeader and wrapFetchForCch share one literal
- Add module-level cchEncoder singleton; reused for CCH_PLACEHOLDER, SYSTEM_MARKER, and per-request encode (was allocating a new TextEncoder per eligible request)
- patchCch mutates the caller-owned buffer in-place instead of slicing the full body just to write 5 bytes
- clipboard: Buffer.from() already returns a Uint8Array subclass; drop the redundant new Uint8Array() copy

git clone --depth 1 --single-branch only fetches the tip of the
requested branch, so any subsequent git checkout <sha> for a non-tip
commit fails with 'reference is not a tree'. The error was caught and
rethrown as 'shallow clone may not contain this commit', but the clone
arguments were never adjusted.
Drop --depth 1 (and --single-branch when no ref is requested) when the
caller supplies options.sha so the desired commit is present in the
local object store. The ref-only path remains shallow.
Fixes#1589
- Add new keybinding `app.clipboard.pasteTextRaw` with Ctrl+Shift+V / Alt+Shift+V defaults
- Implement `readTextFromClipboard()` utility supporting macOS, Windows, Linux (Wayland/X11), and Termux
- Integrate raw paste handler into CustomEditor and InputController
- Text is inserted without formatting collapse to preserve whitespace and newlines
- Added tiny-title protocol contracts, including progress-state unions, message payloads, and transport interfaces.
- Added title text utilities to truncate long inputs, wrap `<user-message>` blocks, and normalize generated titles.
- Added tiny-title model registry and helpers with type-safe keys and runtime optional loading via optionalDependencies.
- Added client-side worker orchestration with spawn fallback, request queueing, progress/error routing, and smoke-test APIs.
- Added worker runtime for model resolution, prompt-based inference, lock-based install retries, and close-time cache clear.
- Added `providers.tinyModel` with an `online` default and UI schema metadata; documented tiny-title updates in changelogs.
- Added tiny-title system prompt and title-text helpers to truncate input, wrap `<user-message>`, and normalize output.
- Added tiny-title model registry, local model specs, key validation, and cache-path helper.
- Added tiny-title transport/client/worker flow with spawn fallback, queued requests, ping checks, and graceful close.
- Updated `generateSessionTitle` to route by tiny-title model and race local generation against delayed online fallback.
- Replaced snapshot internals with full-file records and removed contiguous/sparse snapshot APIs.
- Added file-hash normalization, computed `computeFileHash`, and updated grammar/messages to 4-hex tags.
- Simplified recovery by checking whole-file hashes first, then applying merge-replay fallback after mismatches.
- Updated coding-agent tools to use `record`/`recordFileSnapshot` and skip hash headers for unsnapshotted large files.
- Expanded patcher and snapshot tests to verify 4-hex anchors, hash deduplication, and cache-capped behavior.
- Replaced 4-hex content-derived file hashes with 3-hex opaque tags minted by InMemorySnapshotStore, making tags session-bound pointers rather than content fingerprints.
- Removed lru-cache dependency; replaced LRU-bounded per-path rings with a flat 4096-slot global ring using a scrambled permutation to prevent LLM tag extrapolation.
- Made SnapshotStore required in Patcher (was optional); tag resolution now drives stale-anchor detection instead of recomputing hashes at apply time.
- Changed literal payload sigil from `|` to `+` and accepted `^A` shorthand for `^A-A`; added lenient recovery for bare bodies, lone `-` rows, and overlapping bare/concrete block pairs.
`getPackageDir()` walked up from `import.meta.dir` and fell back to
`getProjectDir()` (the user's `cwd`) when no `package.json` was located.
Inside `bun --compile` binaries `import.meta.dir` resolves to
`/$bunfs/root`, so the walk hit the filesystem root and `omp` ended up
reading the host project's `CHANGELOG.md` as its own — both in startup
"What's New" display and `/changelog`. Worse, parsing succeeded on any
`## [x.y.z]` heading, so `lastChangelogVersion` was persisted into
`~/.omp/agent/config.yml` based on the host project's file.
- Made `getPackageDir()` return `string | undefined`; removed the `cwd`
fallback so package-asset lookup never bleeds into the host project.
- Extracted the walk-up into a pure `walkUpForPackageDir(startDir)` so
the resolution contract is unit-testable from arbitrary directories.
- Made `getChangelogPath()` propagate `undefined` and taught
`parseChangelog` to accept it, returning `[]`. Existing callers
(`main.ts` startup, `/changelog` TUI handler, `/changelog` slash
command) already gate on empty entries, so the compiled-binary path
now skips changelog display cleanly without mutating settings.
- Added `test/issue-1423-repro.test.ts` covering the resolver contract,
the `parseChangelog(undefined)` path, the `PI_PACKAGE_DIR` override,
and the negative assertion that a host `## [99.0.0]` heading never
surfaces as an omp entry.
Fixes#1423
- Added a dedicated @oh-my-pi/hashline package with parser, patcher, filesystem, snapshots, and release metadata.
- Migrated coding-agent hashline and stream entrypoints to @oh-my-pi/hashline and removed old hashline module exports.
- Changed multi-section hashline execution to validate section hashes and flush diagnostics only at the final commit.
- Added session fileSnapshotStore support and rewired edit/read/search/write tools to use it instead of fileReadCache.
- Replaced per-line hash anchors with file-level hash validation in hashline format, changing anchor syntax from LINE+HASH to bare LINE numbers.
- Simplified hashline line separator from pipe (|) to colon (:) and replaced replace operator (->) with colon, added delete operator (!) for explicit line deletion.
- Implemented file-read snapshot caching with multi-snapshot ring buffer per path and file-hash-based recovery to detect and recover from stale edits.
- Refactored hashline grammar, parser, and execution to support file-level hash binding, anchor-scoped validation, and structural bracket warnings for delete operations.
- Updated documentation and test fixtures to reflect new hashline syntax with file hashes, colon separators, and delete operator throughout.
- Removed vim edit mode and automatically map existing vim configurations to hashline mode.
- Deleted VimTool class, VimEngine implementation, and all vim-specific editing logic (2409 lines).
- Removed vim mode from EditMode union type, edit tool strategies, and configuration schemas.
- Deleted vim parser, command handler, buffer manager, and renderer modules.
- Updated documentation and tests to remove vim mode references and add deprecation mapping.
- Raised PowerShell timeout to 8s and swallowed reap errors to prevent unhandled throws on WSL interop.
- Fixed fallback logic so arboard is skipped when no display server is present on headless WSL.
- Added test coverage for the headless WSL short-circuit path.
- Replaced baked module-load value with per-call `isWebPExcluded()` so runtime env changes take effect.
- Only `"1"` and `"true"` (case-insensitive) enable exclusion; empty string and `"0"` are treated as disabled.
- Fast path now bypassed for WebP sources when exclusion is active.
- Explicit error surfaced when decode fails and WebP exclusion cannot be honored.
Gated WebP encoding behind OMP_NO_WEBP environment variable so that local
llama.cpp vision models (which use the STB library that lacks WebP
decoding support) can accept browser snapshots without returning HTTP 400.
Upstream reference: cline/cline PR #9837
(https://github.com/cline/cline/pull/9837) implements a similar workaround
for the same llama.cpp STB WebP incompatibility.
WSLg exposes WAYLAND_DISPLAY, so readImageFromClipboard() took the
native arboard path on WSL2. arboard::Clipboard::get_image() returns
ContentNotAvailable on WSLg because the Wayland clipboard does not
carry image payloads from the Windows clipboard, and that surfaced as
silent 'No image in clipboard' on Ctrl+V.
Detect WSL via WSL_DISTRO_NAME / WSL_INTEROP and read the image with a
PowerShell one-liner that emits base64-encoded PNG bytes from
[System.Windows.Forms.Clipboard]::GetImage(). Fall back to the native
bridge when PowerShell returns nothing, exits non-zero, or is missing,
so non-WSLg Wayland setups continue working unchanged.
Fixes#1280
- Updated OpenAI completions parameterization to honor `disableReasoning` on effort-based compatible models by sending the minimum supported effort.
- Expanded commit and title generation token budgets so reasoning models can return output after internal thinking while non-reasoning calls keep existing limits.
- Switched title generation to request a `set_title` tool call, added extraction from tool-call arguments, and updated tests for the new behavior.
Route /force through a named Ollama tool choice and scope the Ollama request tools to that selected name so local models cannot pick a different tool.\n\nFixes #1236
ResolveBinary picked pip3 when only pip3 exists, but the spawn passed the
bare string "pip" which throws on macOS hosts without a pip alias. Use
the resolved path and wrap the helper in try/catch so a missing or
broken installer never escapes as an uncaught throw breaking URL reads.
- Skipped thinking-line writes and clears when stdout is not a TTY.
- Prevented terminal title (set/push/pop) from emitting OSC/xterm escape sequences to piped or non-interactive output.
- Suppressed all ProcessTerminal control writes when stdout isn't a TTY.
- Removed export leakage by demoting many helper and const symbols to module-local scope.
- Renamed underscore-prefixed internals and cache fields, then updated related references and `satisfies never` checks.
- Deleted obsolete logic branches and helpers, including harmony-stream interruption flow and unused benchmark runtime helpers.
- Updated Biome config and manifests by broadening lint coverage and removing an unused `@napi-rs/cli` dev dependency.
- Adjusted tests and utilities to use renamed test helpers and remove redundant private test-only helpers/locals.
- Restored formatDimensionNote bracket form '[Image: original WxH, displayed at WxH. Multiply coordinates by S to map to original image.]' that tests assert. The Bun 1.3.14 refactor regressed it to a less informative 'Image resized from …' line.
- Broadened bash-sixel-render multi-line styling assertion to accept both truecolor (38;2;) and 256-color (38;5;) SGR runs so CI runners with TERM=dumb don't fail. The contract being tested — every line carries its own SGR — is independent of color depth.
- Raised the Bun minimum version to >=1.3.14 across package metadata, install scripts, and changelog notes.
- Removed the Photon native image pipeline and added SIXEL-based `sixel` support in pi-natives.
- Migrated coding-agent image handling and resizing to `Bun.Image`, including updated tests and a JPEG quality bump to 80.
- Added HTTP/2 fetch bootstrap with HTTPS-only fallback and updated Bun build flags for autoload suppression/`--keep-names`.
- Added untracked worktree baseline capture via `untrackedPatch` and synthetic tree diffing.
- Added fallback-aware backend ordering by collecting host candidates and retrying alternates on unavailable PAL.
- Hardened overlay mount lifecycle by removing stale overlays and deleting upper/work dirs after unmount.
- Refined ZFS clone deletion to validate ownership and remove dataset+origin only when checks pass.
- Updated ProjFS integration to use extended-info callbacks and symlink metadata reads.
- Updated rcopy path handling to absolutize paths, and added `writeTree` plus combined shell timeout checks.
- Extended file-display resolution to accept an immutable flag and suppress hashline anchors when immutable sources are requested.
- Plumbed immutable propagation through ReadTool and SearchTool so internal URL reads and searches pass that context.
- Added a regression test confirming artifact:// search output no longer includes hashline anchors.
- Added `./hashline` package exports and redirected callers to the new hashline entrypoint.
- Moved hashline logic out of `edit/` to `src/hashline` and removed `edit/modes/hashline`/`edit/line-hash` paths.
- Added hashline parsers, anchors, types, and diff helpers with stricter input and mismatch validation.
- Implemented preflight and cache-recovery execution flows to reapply edits and handle stale anchor mismatches.
- Documented the hashline API relocation as breaking changes in `CHANGELOG.md`.
Anthropic counts sessions by metadata.user_id. Without this fix, OMP
generated fresh random entropy on every API request, inflating the
session count and preventing backend attribution to the authenticated
account.
Changes:
packages/ai:
- resolveAnthropicMetadataUserId() now accepts JSON-format user_id
matching real Claude Code's getAPIMetadata shape
({ session_id, account_uuid, ... }). Previously only the legacy
cloaking format was accepted on OAuth, causing stable caller-supplied
values to be silently discarded.
- AnthropicOAuthFlow.exchangeToken() and refreshAnthropicToken() now
populate OAuthCredentials.{accountId, email} from the token response
account block, removing the need for a separate /api/oauth/profile
round-trip.
- AuthStorage.getOAuthAccountId(provider, sessionId) returns the OAuth
accountId for the session-sticky credential, used to build
account_uuid in metadata.user_id. Guards against misattribution for
API-key, runtime-override, env-key, and fallback-resolver paths that
do not record a session credential.
packages/agent:
- Agent.metadataForProvider(provider) resolves request metadata for
the given provider via the installed resolver, or returns the static
metadata value. The plain metadata getter now returns only the static
value; provider-aware resolution is explicit.
- Agent.setMetadataResolver(fn) installs a (provider: string) resolver
evaluated per LLM request in agent-loop, after getApiKey records the
session-sticky credential, so account_uuid reflects the credential
actually used.
- AgentLoopConfig.metadataResolver is called with config.model.provider
after getApiKey, overriding the static metadata field.
packages/coding-agent:
- AgentSession.#syncAgentSessionId installs a metadata resolver that
builds { user_id: JSON.stringify({ session_id, account_uuid? }) },
matching the Anthropic session attribution format. account_uuid is
only included for provider="anthropic" to avoid leaking the OAuth
identity to third-party Anthropic-format-compatible providers.
- sessionId getter prefers providerSessionId when supplied via
AgentSessionConfig so all API paths (getApiKey, direct calls,
metadata resolver) share the same provider-facing session ID.
- prepareSimpleStreamOptions stamps session metadata on direct calls
(runEphemeralTurn, compaction, branch summary, title generation) so
they share the same session bucket as Agent.prompt requests.
- generateBranchSummary and generateSessionTitle accept a
(provider: string) metadata resolver evaluated after their own
getApiKey call for correct credential attribution.
runSplitCommit reset the index and then re-staged each split via
git.stage.hunks, but stage.hunks builds its file map from the current
diff. After the reset, newly created files were untracked again and
absent from that map, throwing "No diff found for <path>" mid-split.
Preserve the original staged diff so new files remain locatable
through every split iteration.
Fixes#966
- Converted systemPrompt APIs and state types to ordered `string[]` across agent, AI, and coding-agent surfaces.
- Added `normalizeSystemPrompts` and applied it to context normalization before building provider request payloads.
- Updated AI providers to emit separate normalized prompt blocks/messages instead of a single merged system prompt.
- Removed dedicated `projectPrompt` state and remapped that context into system-context buckets in session, dump, and token accounting.
- Aligned tests and changelogs to pass and assert `systemPrompt` as arrays with ordered prompt semantics.
POSIX permits short syscalls (incl. open/read/stat) to be interrupted
by a signal and surface as EINTR. Optional sync git metadata helpers
(used by the status line) propagated the raw error and crashed the
agent. Add a small bounded retry around the sync stat/read calls and
classify persistent EINTR as 'metadata unavailable' so optional reads
fall back to undefined instead of throwing.
Fixes#899
- Removed PI_STRICT_EDIT_MODE gating from edit-mode resolution so model fallbacks now always apply.
- Stopped injecting PI_STRICT_EDIT_MODE in edit-benchmark.py and rate-edit-tool.py execution environments.
- Removed PI_STRICT_EDIT_MODE from environment-variable documentation and strict-mode test coverage.
- Added `disableReasoning` to `SimpleStreamOptions` and OpenAI completions, sending `reasoning: { enabled: false }` for OpenRouter requests to prevent reasoning models from consuming the full output budget on small calls like title generation.
- Fixed `canAppend` to accept `response.completed` as a terminal event, restoring websocket append reuse after codex sessions end.
- Replaced async blob-decoding and `addEventListener` with synchronous `onmessage`/`onopen`/`onerror`/`onclose` handlers and `binaryType = "nodebuffer"` for simpler, reliable message decoding.
- Simplified title generator to discard per-role thinking level and always pass `disableReasoning: true`.
- Removed title-source aware branching from session terminal-title and accent helpers, and updated callers to use session name plus cwd only.
- Dropped UUID-based recent-session naming by preferring explicit header titles or first user prompts and generating an "Untitled · <time>" fallback.
- Adjusted welcome session-row rendering for width-aware name truncation and disabled reasoning in title generation requests to keep terminal titles concise.
- Added a `reset` helper in git utilities to execute `git reset` with optional flags.
- Added support for `hard`, `mixed`, and `soft` mode options, an optional target revision, and signal forwarding to `runEffect`.
- Replaced the eager `markit-ai` singleton import with a lazy async factory in `markit.ts`.
- Initialized and memoized a `Markit` instance on first use, with later calls reusing it.
- Updated conversion helpers to receive the initialized `Markit` instance and execute conversions through a shared runner.
- Added a unified eval framework with parser grammar, backend interfaces, and JS/Python execution result types.
- Added eval tool docs and updated prompts for fenced cells, `eval.py`/`eval.js`, and fallback behavior.
- Replaced the built-in `python` tool with `eval` across registry, rendering, interactive modes, and tool settings.
- Migrated Python execution runtime from `src/ipy` to `src/eval/py`, renamed state fields, and removed legacy introspection.
- Refactored browser tooling from in-process VM helpers to worker-managed tab supervisors and protocol transport.
- Added eval parser fallback and JS tool-bridge tests, updated imports, and removed obsolete python-mode suites.
- Added support for batch PR operations by accepting `pr` as string or array and dropping `worktree` input.
- Updated `pr_view` and `pr_diff` to normalize PR IDs, process multiple PRs in parallel, and emit combined summaries.
- Refactored checkout into `checkoutPullRequest`, added repo-locking, fixed worktree paths, and summary metadata outputs.
- Updated `remote.add` handling with URL-aware idempotency and per-repo queueing for serialized git mutations.
- Added temp-home test scaffolding and expanded tests for batched PR flows and remote add conflict/no-op cases.
- Removed `pi-natives` chunk language classifier modules and all core chunk subsystems (kind, state, render, edit, resolve).
- Removed chunk-mode CLI/read/edit entrypoints, including `read` command and chunk mode registration/prompt tooling.
- Removed chunk selectors from `read` and `grep` tools, switching behavior to raw/L-range handling.
- Fixed poll wait parsing to keep defaulting to `30s` when the provided value is empty.
- Extended optional git metadata checks to treat ENFILE and EMFILE like missing paths.
- Updated sync and async helper functions to return null for those filesystem errors instead of throwing.
- Documented the status-line branch-rendering fallback for ENFILE/EMFILE failures in the changelog.
- Enabled Biome VCS settings and expanded fix scripts with new `fix:all` and `fix:tools:all` commands.
- Updated `fix:ts` and `fix:tools` to separate changed-only checks from full-run formatting and generation tasks.
- Simplified edit-benchmark variant parsing by removing hardcoded validation logic, and removed deprecated flags from `run-rs-task.ts`.
- Added raw read output propagation so read/archive commands bypass anchors, line numbers, and chunk formatting.
- Fixed atom/hashline editing by tightening hashline prefixes and applying grouped anchor edits in stable order.
- Hardened chunk parsing and path handling by using `bigram_end` checks and resolving edit paths via shared `args.path` fallback.
- Updated path-related behavior for chunk, replace, patch, and hashline previews to honor optional edit paths.
- Removed mode-level param validators and replaced them with runtime handling, then removed obsolete validation tests.
- Added `atom` edit mode to `EditTool` with single-point hashline-style dispatch and `executeAtomSingle`.
- Added `AtomToolEdit`/`AtomParams` schema and `atom` prompt docs to require one op per edit entry.
- Changed `EditTool` entry processing to inherit per-entry `path` from a top-level request `path` fallback.
- Added top-level `path` defaults to patch and replace schemas and now reject missing entry paths.
- Added an `atom` streaming strategy and registered it in `EDIT_MODE_STRATEGIES` for live mode support.
- Enabled hashline read anchors for `atom` mode via `file-display-mode.ts` path-display logic.
- Added `atom` unit tests covering schema checks, anchor conflicts, and hash mismatch diagnostics.
