- Rewrote `formatSessionDumpText` in `session-dump-format.ts` to emit the pre-16.x full dump: system-prompt prelude, model/thinking config, tool inventory with parameters, and the transcript as markdown role headings (`## User`, `## Assistant`, `### Tool Call`/`### Tool Result`), reusing `renderDelimitedThinking` for `<thinking>` blocks.
- Dropped the compact default and the `[raw]` flag from `/dump`: removed the `isRaw` parameter from `handleDumpCommand` in `command-controller.ts`, `interactive-mode.ts`, and `types.ts`, and removed the `inlineHint: "[raw]"`/`compact` plumbing in `builtin-registry.ts`.
- Updated the `formatSessionAsText` doc comment in `agent-session.ts` to describe the verbose dump shape.

- Gave `AgentSession.clearQueue` a `{ forInterrupt }` option: plain Alt+Up dequeue restores user messages and preserves every other queued message for the continuing stream, while Esc+abort keeps only advisor cards (for `abort()`'s `#extractQueuedAdvisorCards` preservation) and drops other internal steers so the post-abort `#drainStrandedQueuedMessages` can't auto-resume the interrupted run.
- Threaded `forInterrupt: options?.abort` from `InputController.restoreQueuedMessagesToEditor` and kept `queuedMessageCount` on actual displayable-queue semantics so `hasPendingMessages()`/RPC and the empty-submit abort gate stay accurate.
- Updated skill-queue tests to cover both policies (hidden and visible agent-authored steers preserved on dequeue, dropped on interrupt) and refreshed the changelog entry.
- Changed `InputController`'s no-input-waiter submit path to call `session.prompt(text, { streamingBehavior: "steer", images })` instead of `session.steer(text, images)`, so a submission made while the loop is idle between turns starts a real prompt rather than queueing behind a non-resumable transcript; the steer streaming behavior still preserves queueing if a background turn races in.
- Updated the failure-recovery comment to reference prompt dispatch rejection.
- Rewrote `input-controller-orphan-submit.test.ts` to assert the `prompt` dispatch path and added a real-session case proving an orphaned idle submit starts via `agent.prompt` (not `continue`) and leaves no queued messages.

Render a breathing dots pulse (·‥…‥) in place of a hidden thinking block while the model is actively reasoning, so streaming progress is visible with hideThinkingBlock enabled. The pulse shows only while the block is live (not finalized), thinking is hidden, no tool call has started, and the tail block is thinking; it yields to streamed text and is removed when the block is sealed.

When a running session changes projects via /move or resumes a session
from another cwd, applyCwdChange() reloads project settings but did not
reapply the module-level provider preferences (providers.webSearchExclude,
providers.webSearch, providers.image). The previous project's exclusions
could leak and newly-excluded providers were still used by web_search.
Reapply all three provider preferences after settings.reloadForCwd(),
mirroring the initialization logic in createAgentSession.

- With the unicode preset, it showed a special nerdfont tip 10% of the time and otherwise used the regular tip rotation.

- Removed the streaming guard that previously rejected /tan while the parent response was still generating.
- Passed "deliverAs: \"nextTurn\"" when sending the background dispatch breadcrumb and kept "triggerTurn: false" so an in-flight turn is not steered.

ExtensionRunner.emit shared the generic 30s EXTENSION_HANDLER_TIMEOUT_MS budget with every event, including the fire-and-forget session_shutdown teardown event extensions cannot observe. A hung third-party handler — observed on Windows with omp-discord-presence 0.1.2 waiting on a stuck Discord IPC pipe — held AgentSession.dispose() for the full window, making Ctrl+C look ignored for 30s.
session_shutdown now uses a dedicated 2s SESSION_SHUTDOWN_HANDLER_TIMEOUT_MS cap routed through a per-event handlerTimeoutForEvent() lookup so generic and shutdown budgets are independently configurable. The interactive-mode Ctrl+C path adds a defence-in-depth hard-exit: when isShuttingDown is true a fresh Ctrl+C exits with code 130 (the session JSONL has already been sync-flushed by the first press) instead of stacking another no-op shutdown() call.

fix(coding-agent): avoid placeholder crash before theme init
Resolved CHANGELOG conflict: 15.13.0 was re-opened into [Unreleased] on
main, so the fix entry goes under the existing [Unreleased] Fixed section
rather than resurrecting the released 15.13.0 heading.
Two CustomEditor/streaming-preview tests timed out under bun test --parallel
because they reset+reinitialised the process-global Settings singleton in
beforeEach. 50+ other test files do the same dance, so under parallelism the
proxy points at whichever instance won the latest race rather than the one
under test (issue #2582).
- Added CustomEditor#magicKeywordsEnabledOverride: an instance-level test/host
injection that short-circuits the global lookup at the read site.
Production wiring still reads from Settings.
- Switched the magic-keyword shimmer-disabled test to set
magicKeywordsEnabledOverride directly instead of mutating the singleton.
- Removed the gratuitous reset+init from the 'streaming tool call preview
height (bounded across renderers)' describe -- bash/ssh/eval pending
previews never read settings.*; only initTheme() (idempotent) is kept.
