Moved the config.yml/config.yaml filename order into pi-utils as
MAIN_CONFIG_FILENAMES and taught the auth-broker config reader to probe
both extensions with the same precedence as the settings loader.
Fixes#4914
- Renamed the `find` and `search` tools to `glob` and `grep` respectively across the codebase to improve command clarity.
- Implemented full-stack support for the renamed tools, including CLI arguments, system prompts, SDK exports, and tool registration.
- Added automated migration logic in `settings` to transform legacy `find` and `search` configuration keys to their new equivalents.
- Updated the `collab-web` renderer registry to ensure backwards compatibility with legacy tool outputs.
- Added a `worktree.base` setting to allow users to specify a custom directory for agent-managed git worktrees.
- Updated the `worktree` command to ensure settings are initialized before operations to respect the configured base path.
- Enhanced directory resolution logic to support `~` expansion and enforce absolute paths for worktree environments.
Repeated reads of unchanged PDFs, Office documents, and EPUBs re-ran the
full markit conversion every time. Add a transparent, content-addressed
cache for successful conversions keyed by SHA-256(content) + normalized
extension, so repeat reads reuse converted markdown instead of
reconverting.
- packages/utils: XDG-aware getDocumentConversionCacheDir() helper
- coding-agent: markit-cache module (bounded 256 MiB, oldest-first prune,
best-effort writes that never fail conversion) layered over the central
convertFileWithMarkit/convertBufferWithMarkit wrappers
- imageDir conversions stay uncached (cache:"skipped") to preserve PDF
image extraction side effects; failed/empty/aborted conversions are
never cached
- abort-safe: file byte reads run under untilAborted; cache I/O rechecks
the signal
- Export `directoryExists` in `utils` to safely validate working directories before traversal.
- Update `SessionManager` and startup logic to fallback to the launch directory if a session's recorded working directory no longer exists.
- Add regression tests to ensure sessions now correctly adopt the launch directory instead of crashing on missing paths.
- Fixed OAuth credentials to keep unknown fields in schema while preserving existing shape checks.
- Fixed MCP OAuth IDs to be profile-scoped and avoid deleting credentials from non-active profiles.
- Fixed string-flag parsing so PROFILE_BOOTSTRAP_BOUNDARY tokens are not consumed as values.
- Fixed active-profile directory resolution to refresh after env updates so profile .env overrides apply.
- Moved `fastembed` and `onnxruntime-node` to optional peerDependencies.
- Fixed bundled installs that could not resolve `onnxruntime_binding.node`.
- Added shared `runtime-install` utilities for on-demand module resolution.
- Added tests for runtime-resolution parsing and exact peer-version checks.
Upstream force-rewrote history; this branch carried old-SHA twins of the
rewritten commits. All non-goal conflicts resolved to upstream (verified
ours == old upstream tip). Goal-side reconciliation:
- cli.ts: profile bootstrap woven into the new lazy-import/resolveCliArgv
structure; worker-host entry declaration deferred until after profile
selection (pi-utils/env eagerly snapshots the agent dir .env); the
floating runCli call guarded with import.meta.main || !Bun.isMainThread
so importing runCli stays side-effect free while Worker re-entry works.
- args.ts/flag-tables.ts: kept profile/alias branches; upstream's new
repeatable --config overlay flag moved into STRING_SETTERS.
- Changelogs: upstream-released bullets deduped out of Unreleased; profile
entries restored under Unreleased.
- task/index.ts: removed duplicated validateTaskIds block from auto-merge.
- Stored last-seen version in ~/.omp/agent/last-changelog-version so version bumps no longer dirty user configs.
- Migrated the legacy config.yml key into the marker, never clobbering a newer existing marker.
- Added read/write helpers and migration tests.
- Added AES-GCM cache for at-rest broker snapshots keyed on token, with URL as additional data.
- Added `onSnapshot` hook to RemoteAuthCredentialStore for persisting applied snapshots.
- Exposed cache read/write and TTL defaults through the coding-agent re-exports.
- Added `getAuthBrokerSnapshotCachePath` with `OMP_AUTH_BROKER_SNAPSHOT_CACHE` override.
The MallocStackLogging / MallocStackLoggingNoCompact deletion was relocated to the
coding-agent CLI entrypoint (where it runs before any subprocess/worker inherits the
env); importing dirs.ts no longer mutates process.env as a side effect. A spawned-child
probe test asserts the inherited macOS malloc vars survive the import. Also documented
the public profile dirs API (setProfile/getActiveProfile/getProfileRootDir,
normalizeProfileName, resolveProfileEnv) and profile-aware directory resolution.
- Consolidated `cosineSimilarity` in `vector-math`, removed duplicate local impls, and treated mismatch/non-finite as zero.
- Switched beam, query-cache, recall, shmr, and binary-vectors to consume shared `cosineSimilarity` from `vector-math`.
- Changed embeddings to parse `$env/$flag`, return `Float32Array`, lazily import model deps, and retry via `fetchWithRetry`.
- Added `@oh-my-pi/pi-utils` and replaced hardcoded FastEmbed cache paths with `getFastembedCacheDir`.
- Expanded truthy parsing for lowercase `y`, `true`, `yes`, and `on`, then updated optional-embedding tests for cache behavior.
- Updated binary-vectors and optional-embedding tests for NaN-safe cosine, `Float32Array`, and cache-dir expectations.
- Removed `scrubProcessEnv` from procmgr and its explicit call in cli.ts.
- Scrubbing now happens automatically when `dirs.ts` is imported, eliminating the need for a manual call at startup.
- Added `providers.tinyModel` with an `online` default and UI schema metadata; documented tiny-title updates in changelogs.
- Added tiny-title system prompt and title-text helpers to truncate input, wrap `<user-message>`, and normalize output.
- Added tiny-title model registry, local model specs, key validation, and cache-path helper.
- Added tiny-title transport/client/worker flow with spawn fallback, queued requests, ping checks, and graceful close.
- Updated `generateSessionTitle` to route by tiny-title model and race local generation against delayed online fallback.
- profile-alias: refuse to rewrite a managed block whose start marker lacks a
matching end marker instead of appending, which on the next install would
splice from the stale start through the new end and delete intervening user
shell config (data loss in dotfiles).
- dirs/cli: add resolveProfileEnv so OMP_PROFILE takes precedence and an
explicitly-empty OMP_PROFILE selects the default profile instead of falling
through to PI_PROFILE; share the rule across both env-read sites.
- dirs: reject uppercase profile names so profile identity/isolation is stable
across case-sensitive and case-insensitive filesystems.
- profile-bootstrap: treat an unclassified bare long option as a possible
extension string flag and forward its successor untouched (never as a global
--profile/--alias), while exempting known value-less launch flags via
VALUELESS_FLAGS so 'omp --print --profile work' still selects a profile.
- tests: cover all four contracts.
- Update normalizeProfileName to reject profile names whose normalized value ends with '.'
- Extend invalid-profile error text to document trailing-dot rejection
- Make module-load profile resolution resilient to invalid env profiles
- Prevent profile-derived PI_CODING_AGENT_DIR from becoming the default baseline
- Refresh pre-profile agent-dir baseline correctly in tests and during resets
- Anchor install-id storage under base config root so one ID spans all profiles
- Add regression tests for profile reset behavior and install-id persistence
Marketplace and `omp plugin link` installs write to
`<plugins>/node_modules/` rather than to `extensions:` in settings,
so the original PR still missed their sibling skills/, hooks/,
tools/, commands/, rules/, prompts/, .mcp.json sub-trees. Wire
listOmpExtensionRoots to enumerate getEnabledPlugins(cwd, { home })
in addition to CLI-injected and settings-driven roots.
Adds an optional { home } parameter to getEnabledPlugins so the
discovery loader can pass through LoadContext.home for tempdir-rooted
tests. The getPluginsNodeModules/getPluginsPackageJson/
getPluginsLockfile helpers gain the same optional home overload so
they mirror getPluginsDir.
Per-PR review feedback: https://github.com/can1357/oh-my-pi/pull/1498
Added named OMP profiles that isolate agent state (auth credentials,
sessions, settings, model cache, history, memories, blobs, plus
config root subdirs) under `~/.omp/profiles/<name>/agent/`. Activated
via `--profile <name>` or `OMP_PROFILE=<name>`; `default` maps back to
the regular `~/.omp/agent/` tree.
Added `--alias <command>` to generate a shell shortcut (e.g.
`omp-work`) that forwards `omp --profile <name>`. Detects the active
shell (bash, zsh, fish, PowerShell, pwsh), writes a wrapper into the
correct rc file, and preserves subcommands like `update`, `--version`,
and `--model` because the wrapper passes through argv unchanged.
The `--profile`/`--alias` bootstrap pre-parser lives in
`packages/coding-agent/src/cli/profile-bootstrap.ts` and runs before
any module that touches `getAgentDir()` (notably `@oh-my-pi/pi-utils/env`,
which eagerly loads `.env` from the agent directory at its own import
time). The pre-parser mirrors `parseArgs` value-consumption rules and
honors `--`, so commands like `omp --system-prompt --profile foo` pass
the literal `--profile` through as the prompt body instead of silently
activating profile `foo`.
XDG resolution for named profiles is keyed on the profile-specific
XDG path (`$XDG_*_HOME/omp/profiles/<name>`), never the base app root,
so a profile's location is decided once at first activation and stays
stable even after `omp config init-xdg` materializes the base later.
The default profile keeps its existing base-app-root check.
`setProfile(undefined)` (and `setProfile("default")`) restores the
pre-profile `PI_CODING_AGENT_DIR` snapshot taken at first activation
instead of unconditionally deleting it. `setAgentDir` refreshes the
snapshot since that call is the user explicitly redefining the
baseline.
Validation rejects profile names that match `.`/`..`, fail
`/^[A-Za-z0-9][A-Za-z0-9._-]{0,63}$/`, or hit a Windows reserved
device name (`CON`, `PRN`, `AUX`, `NUL`, `COM0-9`, `LPT0-9`, including
dotted variants like `CON.txt`) — those would let `setProfile` accept
the input only for directory creation to fail later with confusing
errors on Windows.
- Added issue:// and pr:// URL handlers for single lookups and list queries with query filters.
- Added a SQLite-backed GitHub cache with soft/hard TTLs, stale hits, and background stale refresh.
- Removed issue_view and pr_view tool operations, inputs, and docs, requiring reads via issue:// and pr:// URLs.
- Added github-cache and issue-pr-protocol tests with temporary cache DB setup and OMP_GITHUB_CACHE_DB teardown.
listClaudePluginRoots accepts a home parameter so callers (and tests)
can override the base directory, but the OMP registry path was constructed
via getPluginsDir() which always reads the global dirs resolver anchored
to os.homedir(). This caused every test that passed a temp dir as home to
receive the real user registry alongside the test fixture, producing
length mismatches (+1 root in every assertion).
Fix: add an optional home override to getPluginsDir(). The override only
short-circuits the resolver when home differs from RESOLVER_HOME (the
os.homedir() value captured at module load, i.e. what dirs is anchored
to). Production callers that pass os.homedir() match RESOLVER_HOME and
still go through the XDG-aware resolver, preserving read/write coherence
with the marketplace writer and the cache invalidator. Tests passing a
temp HOME mismatch and short-circuit to <home>/<configDir>/plugins for
deterministic isolation.

* feat(utils): full XDG Base Directory support for all path helpers
Implement XDG-first resolution across all omp path helpers, extend the
migration command to cover every data/state/cache location, and fix
five data-safety issues found in review.
dirs.ts:
- Add getXdgCachePath() helper ($XDG_CACHE_HOME/omp/<subpath>)
- Add isDefaultAgentDir() helper: XDG lookup is only valid when the
resolved agentDir equals the process default (~/.omp/agent); custom
profiles set via PI_CODING_AGENT_DIR or setAgentDir() are never
silently redirected to the global XDG database
- Update 15 functions to XDG-first resolution:
data: getPluginsDir, getRemoteDir, getRemoteHostDir, getPythonEnvDir,
getWorktreeBaseDir
state: getReportsDir, getSshControlDir, getCrashLogPath, getDebugLogPath
cache: getPuppeteerDir, getGpuCachePath, getNativesDir
- Guard XDG lookup with isDefaultAgentDir(agentDir ?? getAgentDir()) in
all 9 agent-subdir helpers so that callers passing the global default
agentDir still resolve to the migrated XDG location, while callers
passing a non-default agentDir or running under a custom profile via
setAgentDir() bypass XDG entirely
- Plugin-derived helpers delegate to getPluginsDir() and follow XDG
resolution automatically
migrate-xdg.ts:
- Add getXdgCacheHome() helper
- Extend MigrationItem.category to include 'cache'
- Add 12 new migration entries: reports, plugins, remote, ssh-control,
remote-host, python-env, puppeteer, wt, gpu_cache.json, natives,
omp-crash.log, omp-debug.log
- Refuse to run when PI_CODING_AGENT_DIR points to a non-default
profile: migration only makes sense for the default ~/.omp/agent tree
- copyDirectory returns skipped source paths (target existed, non-force)
- verifyIntegrity: remove size-mismatch early-return that masked stale
targets as successful copies
- executeMigration: delete only entries that were actually copied;
use rmdir on source dir so it is removed only when empty, preserving
any skipped files for a subsequent --force run
- executeMigration: rename partial target to <target>.bak on integrity
failure instead of deleting; preserves pre-existing user data while
preventing getXdgDataPath from treating the partial tree as
authoritative; source remains intact for re-copy on next run
test isolation:
- Set XDG_DATA_HOME/XDG_STATE_HOME to non-existent paths in
memories-runtime.test.ts beforeEach/afterEach to prevent
getXdgDataPath/getXdgStatePath from resolving to real user data
* fix(utils,coding-agent): fix XDG support issues
dirs.ts:
- Refactor path resolution into DirResolver class. XDG base dirs are
resolved once at construction from env vars (Linux only, no
existsSync). setAgentDir creates a fresh instance, naturally
invalidating all cached paths and recomputing isDefaultProfile.
- getRootSubdir/agentSubdir accept optional XdgCategory parameter;
when set, the XDG base replaces the config root. Every accessor
is a one-liner delegate.
- Non-Linux platforms: XDG fields are null, zero overhead. No
filesystem probing, no string comparisons on the hot path.
- Config-only subdirs (themes, tools, commands, prompts, modules)
have no XDG category — they stay under the config root.
- Remove `import { env } from 'bun'`, use process.env consistently.
- Restore JSDoc comments to document actual defaults (~/.omp/...).
migrate-xdg.ts:
- Gate migrateToXdg on Linux — exits with clear error on other
platforms.
- Fix data loss bug: verifyIntegrity now accepts a Set of skipped
paths and skips verification for files that were intentionally not
copied (pre-existing at target in non-force mode).
- Fix nested directory source deletion: recursive removeSourceEntries
walks the tree and only deletes files not in the skipped set.
- Remove dead _sourcePath variable and unused force parameter from
verifyIntegrity.
- Remove `import { env } from 'bun'`, use process.env consistently.
logger.ts:
- Revert JSDoc to document ~/.omp/logs/ as default.
oauth.ts:
- Replace direct getAgentSubdir call with getTestAuthPath().
CHANGELOG.md:
- Merge duplicate section headers under [Unreleased].
- Add missing blank line before [13.11.1].

- Added Bun version validation at startup to enforce minimum version 1.3.7 for JSONL session parsing.
- Fixed `/resume` and `--resume` flags silently failing on older Bun runtimes by adding version check.
Fixes#277
- Added SSH host management feature with `ssh` CLI command and `/ssh` slash command for add, list, and remove operations.
- Added SSH configuration support at project (.omp/ssh.json) and user (~/.omp/agent/ssh.json) scopes with host discovery from project files.

- Removed automatic line relocation on stale hash references; now fails with error instead.
Puppeteer uses cosmiconfig to search for its configuration at import time. cosmiconfig walks up from CWD parsing every package.json it finds. If any package.json in the search path has invalid JSON, the strict parse-json parser throws synchronously
during module evaluation, surfacing as an uncaught exception that crashes the entire process.
