- The IRC wake monitor from PR #7108 calls the observer on every kept-alive
subagent finalize; fakes across the executor suites predate the method
and threw during finalization (69 failures).
Vibe worker roster lived only in a process-local Map, so a resumed parent
session started with an empty registry and vibe_send failed with
"Unknown vibe session". Persist a versioned, parent-scoped lifecycle
journal (spawn/turn/tombstone events), rehydrate validated idle workers
through the persisted-subagent reviver on resume, and gate the flow with
generation/CAS protection so stale finalizers cannot clobber a
replacement worker. Killed transcripts stay readable but non-revivable;
mode-exit commits tombstones atomically with the mode change and rolls
back cleanly on storage failure.

Keep assistant yield tool calls pending until YieldTool.execute returns a successful tool result.
Prevent invalid pre-execution yield arguments from bypassing schema retry handling while still suppressing the soft budget abort during validation.

Persist yield tool-call arguments as soon as an assistant turn commits the yield call, before the soft request budget guard can abort the session.

Extension commands (e.g. /sonnet) and TypeScript custom commands that
consume the input without calling the LLM return early from
session.prompt() with no agent turn. In ACP mode this left the pending
prompt promise unresolved, hanging the client forever.
Change session.prompt() to return Promise<boolean>: true when the LLM
was invoked, false when the command was fully handled locally.
#runPromptOrCommand calls #finishPrompt immediately on a false return so
the ACP turn completes.

- Added defensive abort re-check after registering the abortSignal listener plus a checkAbort() immediately before await session.prompt(...), so a wall-clock timer that fires during pre-prompt setup is no longer lost between listener registration and the prompt call.
- Late yield events arriving after a wall-clock timeout no longer flip the result to success: a runtimeLimitExceeded flag derived from the internal abortReason forces wasAborted=true and exitCode=1 regardless of hasYield, while yield payloads remain captured in extractedToolData.
- Async task progress now copies contextTokens and contextWindow from the completed SingleResult onto AgentProgress, so backgrounded tasks still surface their context gauge to the UI.
- Added canonical `pi.zod` schema API exports and removed TypeBox package exports/imports.
- Migrated Tool schema typing from TypeBox to shared `TSchema`/Zod flow with legacy TypeBox compatibility.
- Updated AI provider adapters and MCP/agent builders to convert tool params through `toolWireSchema()`.
