Session titles ignored /skill:<name> <args> because the invocation is a
custom skill-prompt, not a user turn. Feed the chip or reconstructed
/skill line into first-title generation and replan context, never the
expanded SKILL.md body.
Why:
The module-global array memo strongly retains the most recently converted
transcript and output after its session is disposed.
Changes:
- Store exact-repeat and append-growth state in a WeakMap per input array.
- Preserve generation invalidation and per-message weak caching.
Evidence:
- Seven disposal runs collected both arrays after 50 forced-GC passes and
reduced median heap delta by 87.54%.
Refs #8119
- Introduce `@oh-my-pi/omptype` as a new ArkType-compatible schema validation package featuring a lazy JIT runtime, JSON Schema emission, and compatibility adapters.
- Replace `arktype` across workspace packages and test utilities with `@oh-my-pi/omptype`.
- Add benchmark suites, tests, and documentation for the new validation engine and adapters.
- Update workspace build, test runner, and release configurations to include the new package.
Publish terminal daemon completions to the session that started the
process so idle agents can resume without polling hub status.
Persist every unacknowledged generation with a stable completion ID and
immutable snapshot. Replay the collection after reconnect or broker
recovery, and clear each event only after the owning client acknowledges
it.

- Added shared Python call and literal serialization utilities with multiline verbatim support.
- Standardized tool inventories to format as an OpenAI-Harmony functions namespace using TypeScript declarations.
- Updated tool normalization and rendering functions to accept options objects and default to Python-syntax examples.
- Refactored Gemini dialect rendering to leverage shared serialization functions directly.
User-initiated `!`/`$` (and RPC bash) executions persist as
`bashExecution`/`pythonExecution` roles, which are always user-run —
the model's bash goes through `toolCall`. The history serializer emitted
them as a bare `→ bash! …` line and cleared the watched-mode role label,
so in advisor deltas the command trailed the `**agent**:` block with no
user attribution. The advisor then misread user-run commands as agent
actions (e.g. a false blocker over a user-run worktree cleanup).
Render these lines under a `**user**:` label in watched mode and prefix
them `→ user-bash!` / `→ user-python!` so provenance is explicit in every
render path.

Retained complete native web-search call/result pairs through leaked-thinking projection at their original source anchors.
Kept opaque server-tool blocks atomic during persistence, stripped them on reparent, and covered custom continuations plus compaction retention.
Fixes#6703
- Added per-invocation task schemas with strict and permissive validation.
- Shared task and eval agent policy, artifacts, isolation, and lifecycle handling.
- Enabled host-restricted plan-mode eval agents and persisted their capability clamp.
Fixes#5279
Vibe worker roster lived only in a process-local Map, so a resumed parent
session started with an empty registry and vibe_send failed with
"Unknown vibe session". Persist a versioned, parent-scoped lifecycle
journal (spawn/turn/tombstone events), rehydrate validated idle workers
through the persisted-subagent reviver on resume, and gate the flow with
generation/CAS protection so stale finalizers cannot clobber a
replacement worker. Killed transcripts stay readable but non-revivable;
mode-exit commits tombstones atomically with the mode change and rolls
back cleanly on storage failure.
Ported from @mastertyko's fork branch fix/vibe-session-persistence.
Fixes#5303
A request the provider rejects (e.g. 413 oversized payload) yields a
synthesized assistant turn with empty content and stopReason 'error'.
That turn is written to session.jsonl, so on reload it replays as an
empty assistant turn and re-sends the same rejected context. Keep the
rejection UI-only (pinned error) and out of persisted history so a
reloaded session resumes from the last good turn.

- Added shared `toPathList` normalization for legacy arrays and JSON-encoded arrays across tool execution and TUI renderers.
- Updated prompts, fixtures, shims, transcript summaries, and tests to send and display the new `path` argument.
- Updated collab-web search tool cards to read `path` while falling back to legacy `paths` for historical transcripts.
- Recorded the contiguous coding-agent changelog run for the tool-path breaking change and adjacent TTS entries.
- Added regression test in `remote-compaction` to verify that concurrent v2 compaction preparation correctly reuses preserved history and avoids redundant re-expansion.

- Updated `sql-session-storage` expectations to account for the preserved fixed-width title slot header in session files.
- Expanded `remote-compaction` fetch header validation to include `x-client-request-id` assertion.
- Updated the demotion logic to treat complete, signed thinking blocks as stable content that terminates an interrupted stream.
- Protected signed thinking runs from being stripped when processing interrupted agent messages.
- Refactored test assertions to use loadEntriesFromFile for session file parsing.
- Verified forked session content using entry type discrimination instead of line-based parsing.
- Added `INTERRUPTED_THINKING_MESSAGE_TYPE` and `demoteInterruptedThinking` in `session/messages.ts` for stripping unfinished thinking into durable context.
- Persisted hidden interrupted-thinking context from `session/agent-session.ts` immediately after user-interrupted assistant turns.
- Added the `prompts/system/interrupted-thinking.md` envelope used for replaying interrupted reasoning.

- Implemented mutable session titles with audit tracking, including storage persistence for SQL and Redis backends.
- Added comprehensive session management features such as idle recap triggers, incremental subagent yield submissions, and automated title refreshing.
- Enhanced task tracking in the TodoTool with progress prioritization and improved session cleanup logic.
- Introduced citation tag handling for OpenAI-compatible source markers and improved edit parsing.
- Renamed the `find` and `search` tools to `glob` and `grep` respectively across the codebase to improve command clarity.
- Implemented full-stack support for the renamed tools, including CLI arguments, system prompts, SDK exports, and tool registration.
- Added automated migration logic in `settings` to transform legacy `find` and `search` configuration keys to their new equivalents.
- Updated the `collab-web` renderer registry to ensure backwards compatibility with legacy tool outputs.
Adding `paths` to the global PRIMARY_ARG_KEYS hid the pattern for the
structural tools: ast_grep ({pat,paths}) and ast_edit ({ops,paths})
rendered scope-only (e.g. `ast_grep(src/**/*.ts)`), dropping `pat`/`ops`
— the most decision-relevant argument. Drop the global `paths` key and
special-case `find` (mirroring `search`) so find/search still surface
scope while ast_grep/ast_edit keep showing their pattern via the
existing fallback. Adds regression tests for both structural tools.
Added scoped path summaries for find/search tool calls in concise session history rendering, with regression coverage for JSON fallback and hidden search scope.
Fixes#3482
Migrate 203 test files (356 call sites) from fs.rm/fs.rmSync to
removeWithRetries/removeSyncWithRetries to reduce EBUSY test failures
on Windows. removeWithRetries is now exported from @oh-my-pi/pi-utils.
The migration uses a regex-based approach that:
- Replaces fs.rm(path, { recursive, force }) → removeWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rmSync(path, { recursive, force }) → removeSyncWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rm(path) → removeWithRetries(path) (no options)
- Skips fs.rm/fs.rmSync inside template literals (bun --eval scripts)
- Adds imports to existing @oh-my-pi/pi-utils import or creates new one
- Removes unused fs imports where fs.rm was the only fs usage (4 files)
Added a textual omission marker when provider image clamping removes every block from a successful tool result, keeping the serialized tool_result meaningful and protocol-safe.\n\nFixes #3230
Dropped oldest outgoing image blocks above the active provider budget so umans requests honor the shipped 10-image cap even when snapcompact is disabled. Added regression coverage for preserving text and newest images.\n\nFixes #3230
- Renamed the global `INTENT_FIELD` constant from `_i` to `i`.
- Updated documentation strings, type annotations, and test expectations across packages to reflect the new field name.
- Ensured consistent usage of the constant in tool schema construction and intent serialization.
- Added tracking for expected cache invalidations during model changes, compactions, and plan-mode transitions.
- Included `cacheMissExplainedAt` metadata in session context to prevent displaying misleading cache miss warnings in the transcript.
- Updated controller logic to reset assistant usage markers when mode-switching or performing actions that invalidate the prompt cache.
- Renamed `repeatToolDescriptions` to `inlineToolDescriptors` throughout configuration, SDK, and internal session management.
- Set the default value to `true` and updated descriptions to clarify the descriptor inlining behavior.
- Fixed the `/dump` command to prevent duplicate tool inventory output when inlining is enabled.
- Moved the `INTENT_FIELD` constant from `@oh-my-pi/pi-agent-core` to the specialized `@oh-my-pi/pi-wire` package to permit broader usage across the monorepo.
- Updated all references across `agent`, `ai`, `coding-agent`, `collab-web`, and `snapcompact` packages to import the constant from the new location.
