Fix all Windows-specific test failures caused by path handling problems
and EBUSY errors from unclosed SQLite database handles.
Root causes fixed:
1. POSIX path assumptions: replaced hard-coded file:///tmp, /repo, etc.
with pathToFileURL/path.resolve/path.join computed expectations
2. shortenPath() now normalizes backslashes to forward slashes after ~
and respects home directory boundaries
3. HistoryStorage.resetInstance() leaked its Database — added #close()
that finalizes all prepared statements and closes the DB
4. AgentStorage gained the same resetInstance()/#close() pattern
5. SqliteAuthCredentialStore.close() leaked one-off prepared statements
from inline this.#db.prepare() calls — wrapped each in try/finally
6. model-cache.ts used a process-global DB even for custom dbPath —
now opens/closes per-call via withModelCacheDb
7. createAgentSession leaked AuthStorage on construction failure —
added ownsAuthStorage cleanup in catch block
8. MnemopiBackend.removeDbFiles() now truly best-effort (catches errors)
9. TempDir retry window expanded from 4x10ms to 40x25ms
10. TempDir prefix convention: non-@ prefixes created dirs relative to
cwd instead of os.tmpdir() — all test temp dirs now use @ prefix
11. Shell-escaped interpolated paths in bash tool tests
12. git core.autocrlf false in autoresearch test repo init
All 522 previously-failing Windows tests now pass.
- Added status.done and tool.* symbols to theme mappings and presets.
- Replaced generic success glyphs with contextual +/-, tool icons, and warnings.
- Mapped tool/task/job completions to status.done or status.enabled with icon overrides.
- Triggered runtime provider refresh after extension registration and warned on failure.
- Enabled clickable read-path output for result rows, summaries, and previews.
- Resolved read links from result paths, source metadata, internal URLs, and absolutes.
- Preserved selector suffixes while rendering line-anchor hyperlinks.
- Ignored aborted signals for plain-file and directory reads while keeping conflicts-cancel behavior.
- Added tests for non-abortable read behavior and link-label rendering regression coverage.
- Split top-level and delimited read selectors into separate rows before grouping.
- Merged duplicate same-file read selectors into one summarized row with ellipsis truncation.
- Computed grouped-read status and totals from aggregated rows for accurate summaries.
- Updated changelog entries and fixtures to document/read expectations.
- Updated read-group rendering to use the enabled success mark and omitted duplicate success marks on child files in grouped reads.
- Adjusted find and search renderers to apply tool-title coloring, search icons, and padded layout via createCachedComponent.
- Added tests covering read-group success marking and padded find/search renderer output.
- Renamed the internal URL protocol handler from `pi` to `omp` and updated the router export/import wiring to use `OmpProtocolHandler` with the `omp://` scheme.
- Updated embedded documentation link rendering and related validation/error messages in the protocol handler to reference `omp://` URLs.
- Adjusted tests and prompt/docs references so `read` examples and harness documentation guidance now use the renamed `omp://` scheme.
- Added readArgsTargetInternalUrl in the read tool group component to detect targets handled by InternalUrlRouter from path or file_path arguments.
- Updated event-controller and UI helper read rendering paths to skip grouping read tool calls when those arguments target internal URLs.
- Passed session cwd and settings into internal URL resolution in read.ts and added tests for internal versus non-internal target detection.
- Updated read schema, path utilities, and dispatch to parse selectors from :raw/:L suffixes on path, removing standalone sel usage.
- Changed truncation/error notices to continue with :<nextOffset> and :1 guidance for read and sqlite pagination.
- Added summarizeCode support with tree-sitter summaries, read.summarize settings, and N-API Summary types/exports.
- Added tests and docs updates for path-embedded selectors, summary behavior, and explicit raw/offset SQL/read cases.
- Added a new read.toolResultPreview boolean setting defaulting to false to control inline read result rendering.
- Updated read tool group rendering to show inline previews only when enabled and to hide duplicate summary rows for previewed entries.
- Passed the setting through event and UI helper constructors and added tests for default-off behavior and the duplicate-preview summary case.
