- Added `#disposed` flags and guards to `StatusLineComponent` to stop async callbacks running post-dispose.
- Updated `onThemeChange` to return an unsubscribe function and registered it in `InteractiveMode`.
- Fixed schema validation for `spinnerFramesSchema` to narrower types instead of dynamic or-validation.
- Resolved settings leaks by saving and restoring `tuiTight` state in tests.
- Added regression tests verifying that pending async microtasks do not trigger updates after disposal.
- Introduced a WidthAwareText component that formatted fallback content during render using the computed content width.
- Updated ToolExecutionComponent to use WidthAwareText and invalidate cached text instead of a fixed-width Text path.
- Reworked generic tool output formatting to derive inline and output truncation budgets from terminal width rather than hard-coded 70/80 columns.
- Added new `tui.tight` setting with default `false` and documented behavior.
- Added global tight-mode APIs and `setIgnoreTight` propagation across Box, Text, and Markdown.
- Handled `tui.tight` updates to refresh UI borders and trigger rerendering.
- Updated key message components to ignore tight mode selectively and preserve intended spacing.
- Fixed context breakdown to anchor estimates on the latest completed assistant usage message after compaction.
- Adjusted pending-context usage selection to prefer an in-turn provider anchor when available at/after cutoff.
- Added a contextUsageRevision cache token so status-line context memo invalidates after snapshot clear.
- Added context snapshot metadata to AssistantMessage for prompt and non-message token history.
- Anchored context usage calculations on assistant snapshots and computed percent numerically.
- Updated status-line, /context, selector, and interactive mode flows to share session usage totals.
- Extended status-line cache fingerprinting and invalidation for assistant usage and prompt/tool/skill changes.
- Read tool result details now include optional per-line number arrays so displayed content can retain original line mappings.
- Read tool group and renderer now forward code start-line and line-number metadata into code-cell rendering.
- Code cell rendering now draws aligned line-number gutters and pads hidden-line hints to keep gutter alignment.
Added a git.enabled setting and skipped footer/status-line git probes when integration is disabled or no git-backed status segment is rendered.
Fixes#2847
- Updated the coding-agent modes tips to mention PI_DIALECT for providers that mis-handle native tool calls.
- Clarified a troubleshooting option for restoring behavior when inference providers cannot parse tool-call payloads.
- Removed the collapsed-mode truncation branch that forced advisor message cards to restrict bodies to two lines.
- Added a regression test covering long collapsed advisor notes to ensure they wrap at narrow widths instead of being cut short.
- Updated the package changelog to document the collapsed advisor note wrapping fix.
- Created AdvisorRuntime and AdviseTool to drive a read-only advisor agent that delivers severity-tagged advice (nit, concern, blocker) with interruption policy and transcript delta rendering.
- Added /advisor slash command with on/off/status/dump subcommands to control advisor lifecycle and inspect advisor metrics (model, messages, tokens, cost).
- Added advisor.enabled and advisor.subagents settings to enable passive advisor review on main agent and spawned task/eval subagents.
- Implemented advisor message rendering with severity-color badges (blocker=error, concern=warning, nit=muted) in chat log and status line indicator (++ badge).
- Extended yield-queue and session-history-format to support advisor batching and optional thinking block inclusion.
- Updated the assistant-message thinking animation to cycle through rising block glyph frames.
- Updated the accompanying comment to describe the new block-based pulse motion.
Render a breathing dots pulse (·‥…‥) in place of a hidden thinking block while the model is actively reasoning, so streaming progress is visible with hideThinkingBlock enabled. The pulse shows only while the block is live (not finalized), thinking is hidden, no tool call has started, and the tail block is thinking; it yields to streamed text and is removed when the block is sealed.
- Canonicalized assistant and thinking messages by trimming and collapsing dot text.
- Skipped rendering assistant and thinking blocks when canonicalized content was empty.
- Filtered ACP thinking notifications and session outputs to ignore placeholder content.
- Added canonicalizeMessage tests for undefined, blank, whitespace, and dot-only inputs.
- Updated compaction, branch summarization, and session dump formatting to pass preferred model tool syntax into conversation serialization.
- Enhanced shared serializers to render assistant tool calls and tool results through grammar envelopes when syntax is available, with the prior compact format as fallback.
- Aligned prompt, preview, and test fixtures to the new transcript tags: `[Think]`, `[Tool Call]`, and `[Tool Result]`.
- Added Gemini and Gemma syntax routing by model family and owned syntax env values.
- Added Gemini and Gemma in-band parsers for tool_code and token-based tool_call streams.
- Added rendering support for Gemini fenced tool_code/tool_outputs and Gemma tool tokens.
- Fixed parsing edge cases for comments, string escapes, nested args, and truncated blocks.
- Captured each row's initial position in AgentHubOverlayComponent on first refresh and reused it on later refreshes.
- Changed subsequent sorting to prioritize status then prior row position, so activity updates no longer reordered visible rows.
- Added a regression test that verifies row ordering stays stable when activity changes and new agents append at the end.
- WelcomeComponent now lazily selected and cached a tip per instance, preserving it across re-renders.
- With the unicode preset, it showed a special nerdfont tip 10% of the time and otherwise used the regular tip rotation.
- Added tests that mocked theme preset and Math.random to verify standard and special tip selection behavior.
- Removed the streaming guard that previously rejected /tan while the parent response was still generating.
- Passed "deliverAs: \"nextTurn\"" when sending the background dispatch breadcrumb and kept "triggerTurn: false" so an in-flight turn is not steered.
- Skipped rebuilding chat messages during streaming sessions and updated tests to cover the non-blocking dispatch path.
- Collapsed the model list while the role/action menu is open and restored it when the menu closes.
- Limited rendered menu options to a terminal-derived visible window centered around the selected item.
- Added overflow handling via ScrollView with dynamic width and scrollbar when the option list exceeds available rows.
- Added a new built-in `title` model role with `hidden` metadata and updated role definitions and schema.
- Updated title generation to resolve models in `title`, `commit`, then `smol` order and added test coverage for that precedence.
- Filtered hidden roles from selector badges and documented the new built-in role in model/settings docs.
- Updated ToolExecutionComponent.isTranscriptBlockCommitStable to return true when a tool result exists, so streaming results are treated as commit-stable.
- Limited provisionalPendingPreview handling to the pending call phase so only pre-result previews remain non-committed, preventing collapsed streams from dropping their top rows.
fix(coding-agent): avoid placeholder crash before theme init
Resolved CHANGELOG conflict: 15.13.0 was re-opened into [Unreleased] on
main, so the fix entry goes under the existing [Unreleased] Fixed section
rather than resurrecting the released 15.13.0 heading.
Two CustomEditor/streaming-preview tests timed out under bun test --parallel
because they reset+reinitialised the process-global Settings singleton in
beforeEach. 50+ other test files do the same dance, so under parallelism the
proxy points at whichever instance won the latest race rather than the one
under test (issue #2582).
- Added CustomEditor#magicKeywordsEnabledOverride: an instance-level test/host
injection that short-circuits the global lookup at the read site.
Production wiring still reads from Settings.
- Switched the magic-keyword shimmer-disabled test to set
magicKeywordsEnabledOverride directly instead of mutating the singleton.
- Removed the gratuitous reset+init from the 'streaming tool call preview
height (bounded across renderers)' describe -- bash/ssh/eval pending
previews never read settings.*; only initTheme() (idempotent) is kept.
Fixes#2582
- Tracked snapshot-safe boundaries to retain commit-stable streamed rows in scrollback.
- Computed durableBoundary from commit and snapshot ends to prevent row drop regressions.
- Updated audit-row handling so drifting durable rows were excluded from resync checks.
- Added regression tests for commit-stable and commit-unstable relayout streaming cases.
- Added a space-hold gesture state machine in CustomEditor, tracking repeated spaces, detecting holds beyond SPACE_HOLD_THRESHOLD, and firing start/end callbacks via a release timer.
- Hooked editor space-hold callbacks in InputController so STT toggles on hold start and again on release when STT is enabled.
- Added tests for space-hold start/stop behavior and updated keybinding docs to describe the hold-to-record STT workflow.
- Added an `isEmpty` getter on `AgentHubOverlayComponent` to report whether no subagent rows were loaded.
- Extended `showAgentHub` with an optional `requireContent` flag so the overlay is disposed early when empty under the double-<- path.
- Added tests for double-<- gating behavior with no subagents, with subagents, and explicit hub-open behavior.
- Routed `customType: "handoff"` messages to the compact divider path in Agent Hub and UI helpers.
- Added handoff summary expansion that extracts context text and strips `<handoff-context>` wrappers.
- Refactored shared divider rendering into `SummaryDividerComponent` used by compaction and handoff messages.
Add a default-off "auto-learn" loop. When `autolearn.enabled` is set, after the
agent stops a session controller nudges it to capture reusable lessons: durable
facts go to long-term memory and repeatable procedures become "managed skills" —
SKILL.md files written to an isolated ~/.omp/agent/managed-skills directory that is
discovered and surfaced like authored skills but never overwrites them.
Two tools back this:
- `manage_skill` — create/update/delete managed skills.
- `learn` — record a lesson, optionally minting/enhancing a managed skill in the
same call (requires a hindsight/mnemopi memory backend).
The nudge is passive by default (a hidden reminder rides the next turn);
`autolearn.autoContinue` instead auto-runs one capture turn at stop, and
`autolearn.minToolCalls` (default 5) gates trivial turns. Plan/goal-mode turns and
subagents are never nudged, and the controller re-checks the live setting at fire
time so a mid-session opt-out takes effect.
Isolation & precedence: managed skills are a separate lowest-priority discovery
provider, so an authored skill of the same name wins across every provider and
custom directory regardless of third-party toggles; a disabled higher-priority
authored skill can never hide a managed one, and managed never masks an enabled
authored skill. Managed names and descriptions are sanitized on both write and
read (control/format chars, angle brackets, and Markdown fences) before they render
into the system prompt, and the SKILL.md byte cap is enforced on the final
serialized file.
Default off → zero footprint when disabled.
- Added session-domain modules and exports for session-entries, context, listing, loader, and migrations.
- Changed persistence to async append writes plus writeTextAtomic, removing sync line APIs.
- Added compaction-aware session context rebuild with dangling tool-call cleanup.
- Added resumable session resolution with status inference, id/stem/suffix matching, and backup recovery.
Add an optional `role` field to the task spawn contract, threaded end to
end through resolveSpawnItems/spawnParamsFor into the executor. A role
injects a specialization preamble into the subagent system prompt and
becomes the subagent's display name and telemetry identity (label
normalized, length capped), so delegated trees stop being clones of one
generic worker. Empty/absent roles fall back to the agent type name.
Refs #2467
Op: extend
- Added a changelog entry describing that submitted user messages no longer pair OSC 133 command-start markers with missing end markers.
- Annotated the user-message component with guidance to avoid emitting OSC 133 command-start markers for submitted prompts.
- Removed the unused OSC133 final zone marker constant from the user message component.
- Stopped appending the final OSC133 marker so rendered messages now end with only the shell integration close code.
ToolExecutionComponent.#updateDisplay() re-ran renderResult (O(result-size)) on every invalidate - spinner ticks, stream chunks, resizes, keystrokes - so large results blocked the loop for seconds and typing lagged. It now early-returns on an unchanged dirty key (result version, expanded, partial, spinner frame, image visibility, theme epoch), and theme.ts exposes getThemeEpoch() bumped on every theme swap so cached blocks re-render on theme change.
With display.showTokenUsage on, the usage row was rendered inside the
assistant block above the turn's tool blocks. Finalizing the assistant
block was therefore deferred, and the late append recommitted the
already-committed tool rows, duplicating them in scrollback (worst with
parallel tool calls).
The assistant block now always finalizes as soon as a tool-call appears,
and the usage row is emitted as a standalone finalized block below the
turn's tool blocks across all three render paths (live event-controller,
transcript rebuild, agent-hub). The now-dead setUsageInfo/#usageInfo path
on AssistantMessageComponent is removed.
Each live ToolExecutionComponent advanced its spinner glyph from its own
per-instance start time, so concurrent tool spinners showed different
frames and read as janky. Derive the glyph from a single shared monotonic
clock (sharedSpinnerFrame) so every live block animates in lockstep; the
per-instance interval still drives requestRender. The unused
#lastSpinnerAdvanceAt anchor is removed; the todo-strike counter is
untouched.
