- Deleted usage/shared.ts's duplicate toNumber; every consumer in the directory
now resolves the single catalog implementation.
- Promoted HOUR_MS, DAY_MS, WEEK_MS, parseIsoTimestamp, parsePositiveTimestamp
and usageStatus into usage/shared.ts and dropped the local copies.
- Left the epoch coercers, status thresholds and base-url normalizers alone:
they disagree on the 1e12 boundary, non-positive values and warn levels, so
merging them would change reported usage.
- Centralized transient transport error patterns to enable consistent reuse across error handling modules.
- Refactored `isOpaqueStatusBody` for improved accessibility in classification logic.
- Updated retryable error detection to include the consolidated transport pattern and additional provider-specific error criteria.
- Migrated 288 lines of scattered error classification logic from `utils/error-id.ts` into a cohesive `packages/ai/src/error/` module with 13 specialized submodules covering flags, classes, OAuth, providers, rate-limiting, and finalization.
- Replaced 100+ generic `Error` throws across 60+ provider and registry files with semantic `AIError.*` classes (e.g., `AIError.MissingApiKeyError`, `AIError.OAuthError`, `AIError.ProviderResponseError`), improving error diagnostics and retry logic.
- Consolidated error utility imports from `pi-utils` and scattered classification functions into a single `AIError` namespace, reducing coupling and simplifying error handling across all packages.
Move bundled models, model cache/manager, thinking metadata, effort helpers,
provider descriptors/discovery, wire constants, and model identity utilities
into the new @oh-my-pi/pi-catalog package.
Update pi-ai to keep provider runtime/auth concerns, move catalog provider
metadata into CATALOG_PROVIDERS, and migrate coding-agent, agent, stats, docs,
and tests to import catalog values from pi-catalog.
Split coding-agent model registry helpers into discovery, roles, and models
config modules while preserving registry orchestration.
BREAKING CHANGE: @oh-my-pi/pi-ai no longer exports catalog subpaths such as
/models, /model-cache, /model-manager, /model-thinking, /effort,
/provider-models*, discovery helpers, and provider wire constants; use the
matching @oh-my-pi/pi-catalog subpaths instead.
- Derived descriptors, default-model map, env keys, login list, and refresh dispatch from one ProviderDefinition per provider.
- Disabled OpenAI Codex stream obfuscation and interrupted whitespace-only tool-call argument deltas.
- Derived auth-broker callback ports and paste-code login set from the registry.
- Detect 401/403 from Copilot and rewrite to actionable re-login message,
invalidating stale credentials in the session layer (Fix 1)
- Add 9 unit tests for loginGitHubCopilot device-code flow (Fix 2)
- Centralize duplicated "opencode/1.3.15" User-Agent into a single
exported COPILOT_USER_AGENT / OPENCODE_HEADERS constant (Fix 3)
- Batch model enablement to 5-at-a-time to avoid rate limits (Fix 4)
Replace VSCode extension impersonation (client ID Iv1.b507a08c87ecfe98,
User-Agent GitHubCopilotChat/0.35.0) with the opencode OAuth app
(Ov23li8tweQw6odWQebz, User-Agent opencode/1.3.15).
Key changes:
- OAuth device flow now uses JSON body encoding and opencode headers
- GitHub OAuth token is used directly for all API requests; no JWT
exchange or refresh cycle needed
- Base URL changed from api.individual.githubcopilot.com to
api.githubcopilot.com across models.json, openai-compat.ts, and
the oauth module
- Removed proxy-ep JWT base URL extraction from github-copilot-headers.ts
and openai-compat.ts (resolveGitHubCopilotBaseUrl now passes through
the model baseUrl unchanged)
- refreshGitHubCopilotToken is now a synchronous identity return
- All 25 bundled Copilot model definitions updated to new headers/baseUrl
- Tests updated to reflect plain GitHub token format and new base URL
Existing users will need to re-authenticate once with /login github-copilot.
- Added serviceTier option to OpenAI providers for controlling processing priority and cost across agent, completions, responses, and codex APIs.
- Added providerPayload field to messages for transport-native history reconstruction in OpenAI Responses and Codex APIs.
- Added /fast slash command and serviceTier setting to coding-agent for toggling OpenAI priority mode with fast mode indicator.
- Added remote compaction support with encrypted reasoning preservation for OpenAI models in coding-agent.
- Removed usage caching layer across all providers and refactored UsageFetchContext to eliminate cache and now dependencies.
- Fixed OpenAI Codex streaming service_tier inclusion, provider retry logic with exponential backoff, and email-based credential deduplication.
