Migrate 203 test files (356 call sites) from fs.rm/fs.rmSync to
removeWithRetries/removeSyncWithRetries to reduce EBUSY test failures
on Windows. removeWithRetries is now exported from @oh-my-pi/pi-utils.
The migration uses a regex-based approach that:
- Replaces fs.rm(path, { recursive, force }) → removeWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rmSync(path, { recursive, force }) → removeSyncWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rm(path) → removeWithRetries(path) (no options)
- Skips fs.rm/fs.rmSync inside template literals (bun --eval scripts)
- Adds imports to existing @oh-my-pi/pi-utils import or creates new one
- Removes unused fs imports where fs.rm was the only fs usage (4 files)
- Standardized elision markers across all tool outputs and filters to use cohesive `[...N [type] elided...]`, `[...Nln elided...]`, and `[...xB elided...]` syntax.
- Updated documentation, prompts, and test expectations to reflect the unified elision format.
- Improved transcript viewer robustness by preventing content aliasing through path-inclusive signature hashing.
- Added logic to clear stale transcript content when associated session files are deleted, accompanied by verifying test cases.
- Added `unfoldUntilLines`/`unfoldLimitLines` options to progressively reveal nested elidable spans breadth-first instead of collapsing everything behind the outermost elision.
- Added `minTotalLines` setting to skip summarization for short files, returning verbatim content instead.
- Added `:` selector support to `search` paths for constraining matches to specific line ranges.
- Extracted `parseLineRanges`/`parseLineRangeChunk`/`isLineInRanges` from `read.ts` into shared `path-utils.ts`.
- Replaced per-line hash anchors with file-level hash validation in hashline format, changing anchor syntax from LINE+HASH to bare LINE numbers.
- Simplified hashline line separator from pipe (|) to colon (:) and replaced replace operator (->) with colon, added delete operator (!) for explicit line deletion.
- Implemented file-read snapshot caching with multi-snapshot ring buffer per path and file-hash-based recovery to detect and recover from stale edits.
- Refactored hashline grammar, parser, and execution to support file-level hash binding, anchor-scoped validation, and structural bracket warnings for delete operations.
- Updated documentation and test fixtures to reflect new hashline syntax with file hashes, colon separators, and delete operator throughout.
- Updated shell minimizer line truncation to append `...[+N]` with the count of dropped Unicode scalars when truncation occurs.
- Updated read summary rendering to track `elidedLines`, include them in tool details, and append a recovery footer for `:raw` or line-range access whenever elided spans are present.
- Updated read-tool prompts/docs/tests to cover the new elision-footers and recovery guidance.
