- Migrated 288 lines of scattered error classification logic from `utils/error-id.ts` into a cohesive `packages/ai/src/error/` module with 13 specialized submodules covering flags, classes, OAuth, providers, rate-limiting, and finalization.
- Replaced 100+ generic `Error` throws across 60+ provider and registry files with semantic `AIError.*` classes (e.g., `AIError.MissingApiKeyError`, `AIError.OAuthError`, `AIError.ProviderResponseError`), improving error diagnostics and retry logic.
- Consolidated error utility imports from `pi-utils` and scattered classification functions into a single `AIError` namespace, reducing coupling and simplifying error handling across all packages.
Migrate 203 test files (356 call sites) from fs.rm/fs.rmSync to
removeWithRetries/removeSyncWithRetries to reduce EBUSY test failures
on Windows. removeWithRetries is now exported from @oh-my-pi/pi-utils.
The migration uses a regex-based approach that:
- Replaces fs.rm(path, { recursive, force }) → removeWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rmSync(path, { recursive, force }) → removeSyncWithRetries(path)
- Replaces fs.rm(path) → removeWithRetries(path) (no options)
- Skips fs.rm/fs.rmSync inside template literals (bun --eval scripts)
- Adds imports to existing @oh-my-pi/pi-utils import or creates new one
- Removes unused fs imports where fs.rm was the only fs usage (4 files)
- Standardized elision markers across all tool outputs and filters to use cohesive `[...N [type] elided...]`, `[...Nln elided...]`, and `[...xB elided...]` syntax.
- Updated documentation, prompts, and test expectations to reflect the unified elision format.
- Improved transcript viewer robustness by preventing content aliasing through path-inclusive signature hashing.
- Added logic to clear stale transcript content when associated session files are deleted, accompanied by verifying test cases.
- Replaced inline chat view with a dedicated fullscreen `AgentTranscriptViewer` overlay.
- Introduced `ChatTranscriptBuilder` to enable non-incremental, full-history transcript rendering.
- Implemented robust state management for thinking blocks, message history, and transcript disposal.
- Added support for auto-reloading local session files and sync for remote transcript data.
- Replace individual component invalidation with a full display reset when toggling thinking block visibility.
- Ensure stale snapshots of thinking blocks in terminal scrollback are retired correctly.
- Added a SessionFocusController to switch transcript and input context between main and subagent sessions.
- Added agent-hub Enter activation and double-left return behavior for focused local agents.
- Added view-session-based event and render logic to avoid stale focus-session state.
- Added status-line focused agent display with ghost icon and focused-mode border dimming.
The session-observer overlay is gone. The Agent Hub (ctrl+s, alt+a, or double-tap left arrow on an empty editor) presents one overlay with two views: a live registry table (status, unread irc count, current task, last activity; j/k to navigate, r to revive, x to abort/release) and per-agent chat (transcript + input line) — submitting revives a parked agent and steers it via the normal prompt path. Main is the ambient chat and stays out of the table.\n\nrenderInitialMessages no longer takes a prebuilt context: every redraw now reaches for AgentSession.buildTranscriptSessionContext() (full-history transcript with each compaction emitted inline at the point it fired, snapcompact frames re-attached on rebuild). UiHelpers drops the deferred-compaction render and the IRC autoreply branch that the new mailbox bus deprecated. CompactionSummaryMessage renders as a slim divider (── 📷 compacted · ctrl+o ──), expanding to the summary + snapcompact frame count. session-manager.buildSessionContext gains a { transcript: true } mode; an exported buildSessionContextFromFile() reads a session file without taking the writer lock so the hub chat view can tail any agent (parked or live). Theme picks up icon.camera + tool.irc symbol entries.
The earlier exports/cleanup refactor removed @napi-rs/cli from
packages/natives devDeps, breaking every native job. It also left two
test files calling private symbols and a stale KeyId literal:
- packages/natives: re-add @napi-rs/cli (catalog) so node_modules/.bin/napi
exists for build-native.ts.
- test/acp-agent.test.ts: import ACP_BOOTSTRAP_RACE_GUARD_MS from
modes/acp/acp-agent (previously implicit via mass-export refactor).
- test/silent-abort-overlay-render.test.ts: lowercase 'Ctrl+S' -> 'ctrl+s'
to match the KeyId union.
Codex review flagged that the silent-abort sentinel
("__omp.silent_abort__") persists into AssistantMessage.errorMessage
but three downstream consumers render errorMessage verbatim:
- session-observer-overlay.ts: renders "✗ Error: __omp.silent_abort__"
when content is empty (confirmed user-visible today)
- print-mode.ts: writes marker to stderr and exits non-zero (latent;
plan-mode→compact not reachable from print mode today, but unguarded)
- acp-agent.ts: emits marker as agent_message_chunk text to ACP
clients when message has no other notifications (latent)
Add isSilentAbort() guard at each site. Extend the SILENT_ABORT_MARKER
consumer list in messages.ts doc comment to include all six consumers.
Add regression tests: overlay (2 tests), print-mode (2 tests), ACP
replay (1 test).
